Exactly what I was looking for to turn an old ipad 2 into a picture frame. Choose all photos on Google Photos or an individual album, set the refresh time, and bingo. Also shows date and time. Brilliant.

Almost what I was looking for
Works neatly on IPad. Instructions for AirPlay to Apple TV are inadequate. Which device would I find the screen mirror option on, iPad or Tv? I cannot find it on either.
It would also be really nice to see the location the photos were taken, and the title from the exif data.

Thanks for the feedback! To turn on screen mirroring, swipe down from the top-right of the screen to open iOS control center (ie on your ipad), where the Screen Mirroring button lives. We will make this more clear in a future update! We also hope to bring some more info to the photo screen - here we are a bit limited by what Google allows us to access (ie. no location or exif data)
Great use for an old iPad
I have an old iPad mini that was stashed away when without a purpose. Downloaded this app, Hooked it up to my Google Photos account, set the dates I wanted the pictures from, and now it's on all day in the kitchen. I think it's great we're able to enjoy all these pictures that would have otherwise been hidden away.
