  • Beautiful and fantastical!

I loooove the current mobile game trend with the goal to restore and beautify things. I’m not a fan of match 3 games so I like to try alternatives whenever I find them. This game is wonderful! The artwork is so beautiful. The gameplay is fun. I would love an option to change decorations after their initial builds. I’m very excited to see what this game and the developers have for us in the future.

  • Fun game!

I never write reviews, but after reading some of the reviews here, I wanted to give this game is fair due. The art is stunning, but I feel the game play is the best part. Once you learn how to use your shuffles and coins I win about 75%of the time. It's about figuring out when to use them. Don't spend coins on continuing once you've lost. Start over and hope for better cards. It's a fun game and I'm looking forward to continuing to play.

This is a beautiful and well designed game. After some quality of life changes the game I thought was in an excellent state, some small changes could have been made here and there. Like being able to change decorations after initial choice or being able to spend gold to recharge character abilities but overall in a five star state.
So why only 3? The 3 star rating is solely because the team decided to force ads after each level completion. I understand the need for revenue but please don’t interrupt game flow for it. And if you do, make an option to pay to turn it off. Ads would have been much better around recharging abilities, “free” gifts, or resetting decoration choices, but interrupting game flow makes this game go from a seamless experience to pulling teeth. I hope they role back this change as it really detracts from enjoyment.
***If it changes I will edit this review.

  • Curiouser and curiouser

This is a simple, fun little game built around a clever new take on the card game gin rummy. Yes, it can get challenging at times, but games of luck do that. But there’s also some small amount of strategy involved. Once I got the hang of it I won about 80% of the time.

My only compliant is it really needs more chapters. Yes, you can still play after beating Chapter 5, but half the fun is restoring Wonderland and seeing all the familiar characters in this very nice new art style. So, one star off for insufficient content.

Hope the devs plan to add more content soon!

P.S. If you like are style as much as I do, the devs have an animated version of Lewis Carol’s classic book available for free in Apple Books. Check it out!

  • Fun and addicting but...

Don’t get me wrong this game is fun and great theme details, but the game progression is VERY slow!!!! I have been playing for a while now and I’m only on chapter 2. And a question I have for the developer, do the cards that you use or throw away, are they out of play until next round or is there a possibility to pull them again? Also wish winning coin amounts weren’t so low. Need a way to get more coins other than buying them.

  • This game is very fun but

So first off the art and the story line progression is great. The game itself is fun, but it gets very hard when you rely on the random draw of cards. The enemies health pools are too high and they hit for too much damage.

Addition: I’m still using the same small bat for my club suit. It says get new cards by winning boss battle but I’m halfway through the door mouse/march hare chapter. Is there a bug with acquiring new cards?

  • Crashes often

I don't ever review games, but I thought I should in this case. I downloaded this game because it intrigued me, and I love the design, the game play, and even the music. Minus the minor annoyance of only 5 lives/energy that regenerate every half hour (which I understand) I was really enjoying the game. I'm a big fan of rummy and this is an awesome way to spruce up what essentially just boils down to an old card game. However the reason I'm rating only 2 stars is because my game is near unplayable for me. After the tutorial and through the first several battles the app didn't crash too much but around battle 6 the app would start to crash every time I completed a battle and would click to start the next one. After restarting the game it would work alright until I finished that battle and went to start the next. Now on battle 14 the app has crashed 3 consecutive times right as the queen is about to unveil the bumble bee boss (the second boss battle). So I'm currently stuck and done playing at this juncture. I hope this gets resolved and I can continue to free wonderland.

Update: I kept trying to play because I enjoyed the game so much and made it to level 24 with a only a couple crashes before or after battles, but I'm very peeved that it crashed 4 consecutive times during battle #24.

  • Rigged !!!🤬

Originally, when I first downloaded this game I loved it and enjoyed the entire aspect of this game. I have never seen another game like this one so I spent hours playing. When you first start playing the game they give you lots of redeals and coins so that if you need help you can rely on either or. The further you get into the game the harder it gets and that is a concept that I completely understand. HOWEVER, the characters become more and more difficult to conquer and in my opinion it doesn’t seem fair. If I start the match off with 130 in health and I have to fight 4 opponents that start with 60 health and 70 health I’m pretty much a goner after the first attack which I think is major BULL****. At this point I’m under the impression that this game is completely rigged because it seems as if the only time that I get dealt the cards I need is when I purchase coins from the iTunes Store then all of a sudden I get all of the cards that I need to get through my battle. What a complete RIP OFF, if this doesn’t get fixed I will not be recommending this game to any of my friends or their children and if I happen to see other people downloading this game I will advise them not to do so!! 🤬

  • Great game but lacking in options

I just wish you could change the decorations you picked after the fact-- three pages to change all of them? I'd also love to see more options, like objects themed around each suit or a time-themed set. I do enjoy the character/team mechanic (and absolutely love the selection screen), but it feels like you just ditch weaker characters in favor of stronger ones as soon as you get them. I'd add a suit to each monster and make each character stronger against a suit, independent of their own suit. (for example, rabbit and dodo are two characters if the clubs suit. ideally, rabbit would be strong against, say, spades while dodo would be strong against a different suit.) This would encourage the player to keep their team changing. Of course, for this to work, you'd need to add a little map of what monsters you'd encounter on the path. (all this is definitely absolutely totally not because i miss my rabbit boy) Overall, this is a really good game; it's easy to play, has a beautiful art style (almost reminds me of don't starve) and is playable without buying anything. 9/10, would recommend.

  • Beautiful art but there’s little chance in winning

I love the art and it was fun for the first chapter but how on earth are you supposed to win and move on when the enemies can deal 30+ damage?!?! If it’s supposed to be a card game, then they should allow any combos you can string along without being in the same suit. How often can you really draw a royal flush? It’s insane. As other reviewers already said, this game pushes hard for you to buy coins in order to get to the next task and it’s just not worth it. I don’t know how the developers plan on rebalancing the game but I hope it’s something that makes sense and not just more money grabbing schemes.
