Was great, now seems like abandonware.

The github issues has been removed, talking with it documented workarounds I wanted to refer back to in addition to all the languishing feature requests that were just being ignored.

Deleted all my keys and my review

This is proper shady, this app was bought by a company, which updated the app and deleted tons of user keys. I even kept mine in iCloud and still lost all but three 2FA keys. Serves me right for not taking backups :/ they asked us to teach out via email, did so and have had no response. Spent a few days recovering what I could, and moved to another app. Fortunately saving the 2FA backup codes is a good idea.

I’ve written a review before, but can see that many (negative) reviews have been removed from this page so thought I’d come back and add another. Do not use this app, there are better alternatives, and if this company was willing to put out an update which removed your keys once, don’t be fooled into thinking it won’t happen again.

Excellent little app

This is an excellent lilttle app. Saves in the iCloud, imports via QR codes, exports and backups and it's own icon database.

The unlock popup is a little annoyance that needs improvement. A better strategy would be to require the user to click to unlock to prevent the popup stealing focus when task switching.

A nice improvement I would like is the abiltiy to manually order the entries or maybe with the most frequently used first.

In any case, this is great. Thank you!

Amazing 2FA client

Usually, getting a phone phone is always a bit stressful because you are worried about transferring your authentication apps. But Raivo and iCloud it worked seamlessly. Amazing open-source app, couldn’t ask for anything more!

There are safer and better options

I would recommend you stay away from this app. I stopped using this app as it has been sold by the original developer and the new owner has not clarified concerns that were raised to them via a GitHub discussion (and seems to have been deleted). For an app that you have to trust 100% these are worrying signs. As of Sept. 2024 I would recommend you go try 2FAS (which has a wonderful browser plugin), or Bitwarden Authenticator. Both are open source and from companies that are more transparent and responsive.

It also seems that the company is spamming this app with fake reviews, another bad sign.

Crash

I had set up Raivo because it was open source. Than I come back a few days later everything is gone. There are no authentication codes anywhere. And now I am stuck out of the app.

Danger - Keep Away - Fake reviews

This app has been sold to a shady company who’s first action was to brick the app and delete all your offline and online data, remove the ability to comment on the app’s GitHub page to report this, then push a new update which gives you the ability to export your online data but ONLY if you pay.

My offline data is gone forever and the online data is being held hostage.

They keep resetting reviews to hide whats going on.

Avoid at all costs.
