Overall fantastic app

Way cheaper than a standard graphing calculator even with the recent price change. Used to be a “pay what you want” app where a donation would give you all features but it’s been replaced with a subscription or a lifetime purchase. But a $30 lifetime purchase for a more convenient calculator is still better than a $150+ physical calculator.

The actual calculator works great, I have come across a few bugs but they were fixed fairly quickly (At least, at the time that I found them till they were fixed).

Removed my Subscription Payment Without Warning

A while ago, I paid about 7$ to have no ads and support the developers. Really loved the app and used it often. Genuinely well built.
Earlier this year, however, I noticed that I once again had ads, even though all my other App Store purchases were fine. I couldn’t write the review since I was using a beta version of the app. Now that I am able to leave a review, I am utterly disappointed that there was no communication from the developers that previous purchases would be removed as the system would change to a subscription based service.

Hello, beta versions are generally for testing only. Due to this, when you buy something, it’s assumed to be for testing purposes only and Apple won’t actually charge you anything. This should’ve been communicated when the Apple purchase window pops up. Although admittedly, the font is small and easy to miss. However if you were charged, then I would contact Apple to see if there was some issue with the payment. I would also double check to see that you’re using the same Apple ID.

Hello, you shouldn’t have to buy the pro version again. I would definitely check and make sure that you’re using the same Apple ID that the original purchase was made on. If you are, then I would also try the restore purchase button. If neither option helped, then I recommend reaching out to Apple and see if there was some error with the original purchase.

So many Ads

I’ve been using this app for over 6 years now and have seriously considered the optional purchase of the app for almost that entire time. This app has been my most used app through high school and college engineering classes and even the default calculator app on my phone. All that said, I deleted the app today and will not be reinstalling. The developers changed their advertising and payment methods, which results in full screen pop up ads being played every few minutes. Their option for removing these is now a subscription or a $30 purchase, which is pretty much what I could buy a physical calculator for. The small changes in UI I also hate, but that’s just personal preference. If you’re looking for an app to use all day everyday, this one will get on your nerves incredibly quick.

Good to avoid spending a lot of money on a real calculator, however…

It’s good to avoid spending $200-$300 on a real calculator, however, the buttons are small, and the paywall to be able to move the picture of the graphing function around is incredibly annoying, especially because you can’t move left or right in the graphing area without paying this stupid fee. It’s not actually free, in order to use the calculator more easily you have to pay this stupid fee, and it’s incredibly frustrating because I’ve had to re write multiple equations just so I can get back to the original picture, just because I wasn’t able to move it back myself.

Hello, please take advantage of the zoom functions! You should definitely not have to rewrite equations just to see them.

Don’t use.

I’ve had this app for 1 day and after using it for maybe 2 hours the calculator got burned into my screen. Not sure how or why but that shouldn’t happen.

Love this app, but charged me too much for the annuel subscription

I bought a year subscription (9,99$) but it charged me 45,98$ for some reason. I wish i could have a refund of 35,99$, but I cant find a way to contact the company. I love the calculator, i am a teacher and it helps me to show it to the students, but i think its unfortunate it charged me more for the annual subscription…

Hi, I did email back! Perhaps it didn’t go through. But either way, it’s likely a currency conversion thing. Apple may be able to help you out with a refund.

I’m very grateful for this app. As a software engineer myself, I was more than happy to pay for this app. I saved $100 and the app provided many quality of life features like being able to scroll through menus and zoom into graphs with your fingers. Great work. Students shouldn’t have to pay hundreds for things like calculators. Tools like this make education more accessible, making our world a better place.
