Its good for being one of the only fast forwards for safari

Im still a little confused sometimes on how to use it but the creator sent me to an faq page that helped me out. Im getting used to it, but it could still be a little clearer with instrcutions. though, it does what its supposed to do so it should get 5 stars. I also still dont like that it wans you that it could be steaking passwords, but the creator also explained that, and i guess ill just have to trust him if i want to watch netflix faster lol

Hi userjlv, I promise that Accelerate doesn't collect any personal info whatsoever, and you can see an explanation for the warning in my privacy policy, since it's a common concern with many Safari extensions. If you need help with getting the extension to work, there is an FAQ available on the Accelerate website with troubleshooting instructions. Simple and exactly what I wanted

Was sceptical at first but after testing it out for the last 2 weeks, this is exactly what I was looking for. Simple to use and I haven't came across an issue yet for any media source (i.e. primevideo, netflix, youtube, embedded media files). Bravo 👏

Everything I wanted it to be

Simple app, took me a second to realize that the primary way of interacting with the speed was through keyboard shortcuts, but once I got going it was a pain free way to make better use of my time.

I only hope extensions like this aren't necessary in the future, because playback control will be a standard feature for every video player everywhere. In the meantime, I'm going to give the developer some money for providing this.

Super useful

I'm currently doing online college and one of my classes has long, slow lectures on a player that doesn't allow me to change playback speed. This extension was a god send for letting me adjust video speed, and the usability/customizabilty of its functions is a huge plus. I'll be reccomending this to people I know

Can read all passwords & sensitive data?

Not sure why it's necessary that the app has access to all sensitive data including passwords on all web pages... sort that out.

Hey, I totally understand the privacy concern—to clarify, Accelerate doesn’t read any sensitive data, as stated in my privacy policy. Since Accelerate is meant to work on any video site, it requires a specific permission in Safari to run code on each website you visit. Apple informs the user about this with a cautionary message, because an extension may try to run code to read sensitive data (but it doesn’t mean it actually can or will). Most extensions use this permission, since there isn’t a better alternative at the moment for developers. If you have any further questions, feel free to email me at sarmah.ritam@gmail.com.

Not working

When I right click on videos, the option to speed up does not appear. Also when I open the app itself and attempt to change my preferences, they do not save.

Will change my review if it an error on my part, but right now, this does not work.

Doesn't work. Collects personal Info.

1. This app was very disappointing. It simply didn't work on Youtube and another site.

2. It requests permission to "read sensitive informtion from webpages, including passwords, phone numbers, and credit cards on: all webpages."

3. Don't get this app.

Easy instalation and works with BoxCast lecture. Good for medical lecture.

Functional. Needs small improvement

Right now, when I speed up or slow down, I lose audio for a second. Would be great if this can slow or speed up while the auto keeps on playing and remains uninterrupted. Chrome addon had this functionality. Switching to Safari usage and miss it. Please fix and I'll upgrade to 5 stars

Thanks for the feedback! I've actually looked into this issue, and this is caused by the way Safari processes and plays videos—something which unfortunately can't be fixed by Accelerate.
