I have a RayPak Crosswind heat pump for my pool, and I was hoping the RayMote app would make managing it easier. Unfortunately, this app is poorly designed and implemented. Despite being advertised as compatible, the connection instructions and process did not work, leaving me unable to connect to my heat pump. Very disappointed.
Issue with this app
Like many others, my new heater just says “Getting device info” endlessly. I called them and was told they have been getting many calls about this. Fix the app Raypak!
No support
My app has been hung up ‘getting device info’ every time I’ve tried to link my heater. I have 1gb internet with an extender right next to the heater. When I connect my phone beside the heater I’m getting 300mbps downloads and 50mbps up, so it’s not an issue with a slow connection. When calling Raypak’s customer service Linwood they say they won’t talk to anyone other than dealers or service techs. That’s a crappy thing to do to a customer that just spent $5000 dollars getting a heater installed stallled.
