The app is junk as it portrays the ability to reach out to the support team. It “Says” they answer IMMEDIATELY. Not so. I waited quite awhile to get no help. Then, when my new earbuds once again failed, I NEVER got any answer from the 24x7 help desk. The app says it has tutorials for the various products, yet, those don’t work. The app is just as bad as the company’s website that lacks utility. I was looking forward to my purchase today of the earbuds. Yet, given the problems that I experienced there, plus the bad app, website and lack of help, I’m returning it tomorrow.

Why did I NOT adhere to the bad reviews?!?!
Perhaps we are all destined to learn the hard way! There should be a law against these types of useless apps. Why ALTEC waisted the feeble effort in putting this app together is beyond any imagination. Those that say “it’s great for Support” don’t take into account the time and effort it takes to add the app to your device. Support can easily be accomplished in more efficient ways. Anyhow, deleted/trash! Shame on ALTEC for spinning such nonsense! Makes one wonder if their products deserve similar fates?

Great for some things
I downloaded this app to get in touch with customer support and it works well. The chat person was pleasant, quick, and efficiently solved my problem. Perfect.
I also found out the app lets you keep track of your Altec Lansing products in a little inventory list. That’s pretty neat as I have multiple AL products.
The product information is limited and only has additional info for a few products.
But If you need to chat with customer support, this is the way to go.

New Headphones
The app won’t work with my new 2020 headphones so the sound is constantly low and unexciting .
The product I bought is to new and doesn’t show up on the application.Waiting for the update to change my review.

Never have I ever experienced such a useless app. You can’t even control any of the functionality through the app and it doesn’t give you any information about your headphones i.e. battery life, being able to switch between music and noise cancellation seamlessly etc 😐. Probably will delete.

Warm Up failed. Keeps asking to pair headphones. Tried unpairing, pairing, the tried Warm Up.....asks to pair headphones. Take my word for it. THEY ARE PAIRED!! I’m listening to music right now. Punch your product dev in thier heads and tell them to try again.

Altec Lansing
I thought this was a great company, and a great product. Past tense !
I called their customer service, to inquire about a replacement for an Altec Lansing Amplified Speaker System GS 1021 (2.1) AC Adapter.
Not only could their customer service understand why I had or used a system this old, but could not even give me the Specs on the AC Adaptor for this system, so that I don’t burnout the system.
This is not a good way to run a corporation, nor is it a good P.R. Move.
I am very dissatisfied and disappointed ! ! ! 1 star.
