  • Unable to test before rolling out updates

    Every update of this app results in our aircon system (new 6months ago with full ozone upgrade) crashing, presets not working (meaning the system doesn’t come on and we wake up freezing, as does our new born and 3 year old).

    This is just sloppy development, even the distributor of the products has admitted as much. Sort it out.

  • Overly complicated

    As usual when people get the urge to fix things that aren’t broken they just make it more complicated than it has to be. Please bring back the option of the old iZone app where it reflected the screen on the controller. The on/off and air conditioner buttons are way too small for those of us that don’t have perfect vision and you need a degree in IT to find the timer setting. In the middle of the night when I just want to turn the air conditioner on I want clear and simple

  • Impossible to use

    On the slight chance the app doesn’t crash when my partner or myself is trying to use it - it is impossible to use. I am unable to set up or edit any of my scenes. The data being fed into the app is incorrect and the ux overall is just awful!! So disappointed.
  • The only way to describe this app is laughable.

    You couldn’t of designed an app any more painful to use if you tried, the update to the visuals was a welcome addition as the prior version was awful, but in saying that i’ve had to revert the theme back to the old version, the old UI is hideous but you can at least find the aircon zones and it’s functional.

    You need a masters degree in software engineering to navigate the new version and it constantly glitches out once you’ve figured out how to operate it. The annoying pop up messages you’ve included to tell you how to use the app at every stage should of been a red flag that it’s not an intuitive app and users will hate it.

    Personally i think you should just make the old user interface look nicer and then call it a day.

  • Continually having issues

    When the app actually works it worked well. However every couple of months it will have sone bug where it won’t open or loses connectivity or changes screens and you can’t figure out how to turn anything on. If the app was more stable it would be great. Currently it won’t load my devices so it’s useless.

  • Sluggish and buggy

    The new version of the app is sluggish to respond, has a very confusing UI, loads of false flag error banners and now just crashes repeatedly on boot.
  • New UI Update Does Not Work

    We only have the AC controls and garage door functions so cannot comment on anything else.

    Initial set up for both was very confusing and frustrating.

    Sometimes the app would say the garage door was open when it actually would not be and vice-versa, which is annoying.

    AC controls does its job, though I think our slow wifi connection doesn’t help with changing on/off settings. Since the new user interface came out, the app says it’s not on the network and will not function. After many frustrating hours of trying to reset and program, I decided to go back to the old version and have no issues.

    Huge negative for the app is that it only controls your stuff when you’re connected to the same wifi network. So if I’m on my way home and want to get the AC going, I can’t do it until I’ve pulled in. If there’s a large package to be delivered and I’m at work, I can’t let the delivery driver into the garage.

    If we realised this, we would have opted for an entirely different system when building our house.

  • Barely works, then doesn’t work at all

    This app went from being barely functional: being very slow to update its current status, on/off temperature, etc. to just not working at all. Unfortunately you won’t know that your new system will be controlled by this until it’s too late. The online tech support is horrific. They close your ticket and pretend every hint is fixed because they don’t know how to fix anything. Go back to the installer or your system and ask if you can get a different control system.

  • Gr8 App Gr8 iZone help

    I thoroughly recommend this app & izone - AAA+. I have had a fantastic experience with 'izone help’ as well as using this app 3.0.2; contrary to some of the other reviews. Perhaps izone help desk would be a good point of contact. I have aircon, retic (12 stations), switches, video doorbell. The help desk has been totally helpful, patient and responsive for a couple of ‘seniors moments’ I have had. The previous version was great until a Western Power outage caused the retic to lose settings. The new version fixed that immediately. It took me perhaps 15min to find my way round the new User Interface but ALL of the old settings were imported and worked. Pinned all the devices & scenes to the home page to suit me, which took a little time. The new app is smooth, stable, professional and ‘just works’ all the time. Love it. Perhaps response time of refreshing is a bit slow at times. Mesh wifi has improved that slightly. The new version works beautifully on my iPhone whereas the previous version did not work at all on it. Now the iPad Pro and iPhone are in perfect sync. I have used the worldwide feature to adjust my retic while overseas and the video doorbell is great away from home.
