  • It would be difficult to make a new app this bad

The old app was pretty useless in so far that it considered it able to select its own temp after I set it… then came along this new thing. No guidance or defining terms to help the user set up their home. Been trying to get the system online for a few hours now and giving up. Not sure what your budget was and how many developers you had, but fair to say it would actually be difficult to design something so poor

  • Bring back original phone app

This new app is the worst! The original phone app was wayyy better and more simple and never crashed. I’ve had to download this like 10 Times over and over. And the worst thing is when I turn on my aircon for the bedroom the app says it’s on but then I go downstairs and check the wall unit and it wasn’t even in on the first place. For someone that uses the app every day this is really
Frustrating. It’s like the app doesn’t connect properly to the master controller.

  • 1 Step Forward, 10 Steps back.

While the original app needed a facelift. The new app puts user experience in the back seat and then kicks them to the kerb, almost as brutally as an old New York Gangster film.

The buttons are slow to respond, it should be a definite and instant click changing it to the desired setting with a separate but unobtrusive please wait while we update the system.

The buttons are small, like comically small. The power button for the aircon is the most used and yet the hardest to activate.

The UI is overly complicated for the 95% who probably only have a portion of iZone services like Air Conditioning and zone control gets confused.

A really bad implementation of what was a an ugly but very responsive UI before.

  • Update is form over function

The new 3.x update has a lot sleeker looking UI graphically, but in reality the interface is now very much over complicated and unintuitive to use.
Surely most users of iZone just want it to control their air conditioning Zones (that’s why we went with iZone over the first party options. Please just give me a simple page that shows all of my zones with the Zone Name, Zone Status (closed/open/climate), Set-point, Actual Temp, and Airflow %. Then if I press on any of those things it gives me the ability to adjust them. If I have 7 different zones, who on the planet would wish to drill down on 7 different pages to see what is happening in each particular zone??? One the old 2.x versions the Zones page more or less achieved what was useful (albeit is wasn’t possible to display airflow and set point at the same time for some bizarre reason.
Can’t imagine it would be worth asking if there are plans to include matter support at some stage? The supposed HomeKit connection is completely unusable.

  • A mind if it’s own…

App wants to be in charge. You change settings and it randomly changes some or all of them back to how they were. Switch it off, it decides to switch it back on again. Change zones, and it changes them to how it was the last time you gave up on it right after it gives you the middle finger. AI has nothing on this app; it’s a moody teenager who’s just run out of screen time.

  • Pay Attention to Reviews

If being able to control your AC using an APP via Wi-Fi or Remotely is important to you, read the reviews.

Given the cost of the iZone system control, etc is $500+, you’d expect the setup to be straight forward. Like an APPLE setup experience. Trying to setup Worldwide Registration is frustrating and a waste of time (so far).

I can’t Accept the Terms, [which include having you details used by every large Analytics company to track your activity, (significant privacy concerns)], because the Accept button doesn’t populate to click upon.

Despite closing the App and trying again, I encounter the same issue, again and again. The whole experience is super clunky and a pain on the @.

  • Clunky and stops working

Initial setup of app was challenging but we got there. Up until recently when I can no longer access due to message “None of Device is Online”, the app worked reasonably ok but was frustrating when refreshing the screen (by holding finger on phone page and sliding down) as it would always shut me out of the app. Could work around this but it was very annoying as there were delays in restarting and connecting to unit. If that was fixed then a 4star rating would be appropriate.

  • Terrible app

I have had my aircon with this app for a year now and never had luck with this app. Needs a dozen refresh swipes before it reads the actual information. Also if I open the app, at times it will change my current settings rather than updating to the settings I have set on the main screen on my wall. Update this app properly please.

  • Glitchy and frustrating

The app refreshes and jumps out of the various programming screens every 3-5 seconds. I go into the screen to set the temperature in a zone/room and before I can type the temp, the screen reboots to the blue startup screen and then settles on the front screen. Within 3-5 seconds on that screen it reboots again. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app a number of times and no change. 20-30% of the time it settles, but most of the time it is glitchy and it takes many attempts before the app holds my settings. This happens both on wifi and 4g. Absolute pain in the bum.
