Fun game - Good Implementation

I’ve been having a lot of fun with this app, it’s a good implementation of the solo version of Fleet the Dice Game. One small issue, the achievements aren’t saving correctly from game to game.

Great iteration of the actual dice game

The game plays great solo, but it is more fun with others - I just learned that a pass-n-play version is in beta testing, which makes this app even better. But I’m sure most fans are eagerly awaiting for an online multiplayer mode!

The game plays great solo, but it is more fun with others - and as we are now in Spring of 2024, the developers have still not announced when the multiplayer version will be released.

Great after figuring out scoring

I’m revising prior reviews because now that I’ve finally figured out how scoring works, and that you can use star actions to mark either sheet (not just the one you’re looking at), I’m getting better scores. I don’t score real high, but it still is very satisfying.

I applaud the developer for making this game premium at a fair price with no ads. I also love the design and the way the dice rolls and checking boxes work. And the way AI works (to block you) is excellent, it makes you feel like a human is playing against you, but without the stress of trying to beat an AI’s score. Brilliant.

Once I figured out how all the mechanics work, I’m enjoying this game immensely. A good tutorial would have helped. It took playing a lot and reading the rules several times for things to click.

I’m glad I stuck with it, because this is an excellent solo game, that plays well and is priced fairly. It could use a little battery optimization, but it’s not too bad. No complaints really. Ignore my prior reviews before things clicked.

Thank you developer! This might be my favorite phone game now. Even though I always score as a “deckhand” LOL

https://discord.gg/Fen6zD7MGY Thanks for your review. We are currently working on a tutorial system that should be in Beta this month. Feel free to join our discord and request beta access. There are also a lot of strategy discussions as well as rules questions answered. The game is a lot deeper that most roll n writes. You might also visit the game on Board Game Geek to learn more.

Waste of money

There is no tutorial and constant crashing on my iPad make the game unplayable.

Response from developer

Tutorial on the way. Probably will be released in June. Sorry to hear about your crashes we will investigate it.

App Crashed Every Time

I really want to enjoy this game, and love the first two rounds I make it through each time I try to play it, but the app has crashed every time I’ve tried to play (about 5 or 6 times now).
Tried deleting the app and redownloading it, but no luck. It still crashes. Double-checked that my phone was compatible with the app, and it is, so… I’m not sure what else can be done from my end, unfortunately.
Hope if there’s an issue with bugs, they’re fixed soon so I can make it through the game, because the game itself seems really fun!!

Lovely game but it keeps crashing.

Like I said in the title I can play for a little while and randomly it just closes.

Boring

No AI computer opponents, just some boring solitaire version

All the mechanics are there

And it’s an enjoyable experience but be warned it is not a beautiful or elegant looking game. But despite that it is fun to play and it mimics the roll and write very well.

A couple of wish list items. Larger font! I’m getting older and even with readers on my ipad it’s hard to read. The licenses can be tapped to get larger but they do not go away after tapping agin. You have to wait for the game to shrink them. Not everything can be enlarged either.

Some of the background choices make the iconography hard to see and read in the fish area especially.

The dice fall to the bottom of the screen and block the income track. Luckily on my iPad I can go to landscape mode which lets me see the income track. Otherwise it’s a no go. The income track is important information.

Would love to see a undo button. Otherwise I have to be very careful I don’t a tap a die I don’t want.

I’m guessing it’s a money and time issue for some of the graphic design decision but the project seems a bit rushed. It’s one of my favorite games and I hope that you are going to continue to improve on it. I do appreciate that you took the time to digitize this game though. Thank you!

Good game with glitches

Good game, but it crashes quite a bit and doesn’t save progress. There have been framerate issues as well, particularly when playing for longer than a half an hour.
