Congrats to the developers. Please continue supporting this!!!
Suggestion to developers: Please consider adding the ability to organize sessions into "folders" or create a "timeline" heirarchy. For me, I create a session that captures all of my research for the day. If these could be gathered into subfloders of daily, weekly, monthly, etc. sessions, it would be absolutely perfect.

Thank you for using Toast and leaving your review. We are very glad to receive such an awesome feedback. Folders for sessions is a great idea, definitely useful for our Pro users. I've added it to our "ideas for future" list, we'll discuss it with the team. We appreciate your input a lot. Toast is getting better and better thanks to users like you. Enjoy Toast :)
Absolutely Amazing

Beware
Response from developer
Hello, thank you for downloading Toast. We are sorry that someone tried accessing your account. Itβs always sad and scary to get such notification. I assure you, Toast has nothing to do with this. The product is over 2 years on the market. Our extensions are distributed only via official browser extension stores to provide the highest safety for our users. Every new update is diligently checked by specialists at Apple, Google, Microsoft, Firefox, and Opera. The permission mentioned is a technical requirement for Toast. Unfortunately, there is no way to get tab information such as title, favicon, and URL without that permission. And there is no shorter/smaller permission that would allow us to get around it. Even though Toast has permission, it never reads anything from the page content, nor reads or stores your browsing history. Toast does not send or receive data in the background, and, overall, without your consent/action. Itβs very disappointing for us to see, that because of the unfortunate coincidence, Toast gets very bad feedback. Hope your accounts are safe. If you have any questions for us, feel free to reach us at dotoast.com@gmail.com.
Excellent
Works in all my browsers so I can open any saved session cross browser. Doesn't get any better than that.
Highly recommended

Account issue
UPDATE: the plugin developers replied quickly to help me solve this. Doesn't seem to stem from their end but they steered me in the right direction on how to handle this problem with Apple.
Currently still using this extension as it is super useful and well desinged! Kuddos!

Good extension but
Response from developer
Hello Jaz, thank you for trying Toast and leaving a comment. We completely understand your concern. I want to ensure you, your data is safe and secure.Β Toast doesn't read or collect any data other than info about tabs such as Title, URL, Favicon. We don't mine, nor sell any users' data. That's why we have paid subscription, unlike our competitors, who sell users' data. So no passwords, credit cards, browsing history, etc are ever read by Toast. It never reads or sends anything in the background. Any data collection or transfer is started by user's action. We value privacy a lot and even created a dedicated page explaining security principles we follow at Toast, you can see it here https://dotoast.com/security. Additionally, the most trustworthy thing we can mention is that Toast is distributed only through official extension stores, such as Apple Mac App Store. Every update published to the store gets a diligent check by Apple engineers and one of the most important parameters for them is privacy of users. Now explaining the permission itself. Unfortunately, we can't get around this permission in Safari (we tried). Toast is built as a native Safari extension, not using the newly presented Web API. The native API has way less options for getting the permissions, it's more like: "You either take it all, or don't take any". We aim to provide the same user experience for our users regardless of the browser. In Safari this permission is technically needed to provide shortcuts and context menu functionality, just like we have in Chromium-based browsers and Firefox. I hope this makes you more confident in Toast. Feel free to reach out, if you have more questions, we are absolutely open in sharing the information about the data we collect and how it is used.
