What if there was a way you could be rewarded for being more active and help local community groups at the same time? Now you can with Civic Dollars. You can earn Civic Dollars by just spending time in a park (designated earn zone) and then you can get rewards for yourself or you can donate your Civic Dollars to a local community group or charity who can pool them together and get access to unique rewards from local businesses. To start earning Civic Dollars just: Download the app and register, Visit a Park or Open Space (designated earn zone) Start earning Civic Dollars Select a reward for yourself Choose a community group or charity and donate to them You can also report problems like anti-social behaviour and litter by using the (!) button while in a park. We will be updating our social media accounts with details of any new parks that have been added to the platform. Parks will be assigned different earn values so make sure to check the app for your nearest parks and how many Civic Dollars you can earn while there. Each park will have a real time symbol indicating how busy the parks are and will help you with social distancing (Red, Amber, Green). The app will only be using your GPS while inside a participating park and will only start when a user clicks the green “GO” button. If you forget to stop your visit your session will automatically stop when you walk out of the park.
