App works well enough for what it’s intended
People are leaving reviews like this is supposed to be an app launched from Microsoft headquarters. It works well, and better than what I’d expected to be honest. Sure it’s not perfect, but it gets the job done.
Bugs from all these old reviews have been fixed
A lot of the complaints here are about the sports, or shirts, or bugs from a while ago so I just want to say:
If they don’t offer your sport in your area, this is not the place to complain. This is a review of the app itself and its functionality and user experience.
Same goes if you couldn’t get your shirt color or whatever.
As for the UX, yes it had bugs, yes it’s still not perfect, but it’s come a long way in the last year or so and now I have no complaints or issues with the user experience that even comes to mind.
I’ve been captaining a team in this league for 4yrs now and can say the app is in a good place, especially compared to all the other options around here in NYC (which I’d argue are probably all of the best options most likely).

Nice to have something like volo in your city but the app is poorly made and the business is sketchy. In the fine print, you have to sign up for 3 months minimum. They don’t make this clear. So it’s $60 up front when you think it’s just $20
This app is garbage
Lousy UI, constant marketing push notifications, no way to cancel if you can no longer attend an event (including court rentals).

UI is retro and outdated plus search is slow. I can’t believe (Ultimate) Frisbee isn’t an offered sport. Still, I signed up for a league and I hope it works out!
This app is very buggy.
The app is very buggy and crashes often. The user interface is not ver friendly. It doesn’t allow for smooth navigation and doesn’t provide clear banners for where to find schedules and game times

It would be great if there was an easy way to sync events from the dashboard calendar to iPhone calendar.
