Just what I needed!

This app provided everything I was looking for. Frankly, I mainly use it to log my finished books, but I have gotten into using reading mode recently.
While “Gold” does seem to have a few nice features, the free version works just fine for what I need. Thanks for an amazing app! 😊

Love the widget

Hello, first thing I would like to say is that I downloaded the app and wanted to review and couldn't find it in search. The app on the phone says “Booka” but the app in the store says “Bookshelf: reading tracker” so I was a bit confused. I love the user interface and simplicity of this app - one of the better reading apps I’ve found for this. I love the widget and I’m so happy it’s in black. I hate the blue color the Kindle widget has. That’s why I downloaded this.

Feedback: Is it possible for the app to sync with Kindle so that it auto-updates with my pages? Not sure how compatible Kindle is with syncing to other apps, just something I would enjoy.

Well developed, functional, and polished

Feature request: Please add a feature where I can import screenshots and use OCR to get the text from a screenshot (when adding a “Note”). Right now, I can use the camera to add text from a book, but what if I’m reading an e-book on my phone? I can’t take a picture of my phone.. unless I get another phone 😂

I spent weeks looking for an app that would help me track my reading, and this has been by far the best one. It has all the features I want, without the burden of being tied down with a subscription. If this app ever adds a subscription model, I’m out!

In the meantime, iOS15 allows you to copy and paste text directly from images and screenshots, so you can actually accomplish your goal from the Photos app! Please let me know if you have any other suggestions or concerns and I'd be happy to address them!

Pay to chart progress

it's insane that I have to pay a premium even to chart my reading progress.
This app could put ads on here and allow users to chart progress without paying yet they've chosen not to!

A Fantastic App

I’m a book blogger and new to this app. I read a mix of Advanced Reader Copies and Backlist as well as new releases a month. I loved that this app had the books I’m reading as Advanced Copies. I also love the note cards, as I’m not one that writes down quotes I want to remember, now I can just put them on a note card. I love the quizzes option, although I haven’t tried it yet. I’m also a big fan of the stats it gives you. I took a star out of the rating because in my phone the app stopped working. I press it, but it never opens. Luckily I was able to restore my purchase of Gold for the year on my IPad which seems to work great. Oh! Also, I love how this app has a timer or just let’s you read if you don’t want to set a timer, or if you want to keep reading.

This app is great!

I love the set up and ease this app has! My only issue is that I wish there was a “Did not finish” option. There are books that I didn’t finish for one reason or another that I want to keep track of, but don’t want them counted as a book I’ve read.
Currently I have a DNF collection, but I cannot remove it from the read collection with out removing it from my library completely.
If this feature could be added that would be amazing!

Practical!

Very helpful and neatly organized app. Find nearly any book by searching for it and keep track of your at home library with ease with a great looking UI.

Handy app but saving feature needs fixing

This has been a lifesaver, I don’t always have the best memory when it comes to all the books I’ve read so it’s perfect to keep all my notes and favourite quotes.

However, sometimes I’d write a lengthy note or summary and it doesn’t save! Please fix this as it’s time consuming to re-write the notes.

Also I hate how I click to add words to the bottom of a note and it automatically scrolls to the top. It would be great if I click at the end of the paragraph and the cursor stays there so I can just type uninterrupted.

No way to enter numbers with keypad

The app is beautiful and could be very useful, but there is no way to enter page numbers with the keypad. You have to click through or scroll through each individual number, which is incredibly inefficient, especially as you get farther into books. This needs to be fixed immediately, as it makes the app barely functional.
