Set to US regional setting
I bought the app before realising my firmware was later then the mentioned version eligibility. After contacting them via email it was sorted. Once you pay, you then open the app back up and connect to the bike. Then go into market settings (which doesn’t exist until you by the license) and you have the option to switch to the US region which gives you the increase from 25km/h to 32km/h. Communication was very good when I was problem solving, keep up the good work.Show lessMickyT069

Easy to use, easy to obtain the licence and it does exactly what it sets out to do. I changed the market from EU to US and it is like having a new bike. Can’t recommend highly enough.Highland AC
WARNING! The best feature of this app only works on a particular model + firmware
DON’T GET SUCKERED LIKE I DID! This app claims to work with with various Shimano E-Bike motors (E6100, E7000, E8000) and while that may be true, the “killer feature” that most people want is to “derestrict” the speed limit of the motor assist (so you can continue to get pedal assistance beyond the regional speed limits). For this you have to pay an additional $33 USD for a “premium license”
I read the user manual and saw the list of features that the premium license unlocks, including “Speed Derestriction: Raise the assist speed limit cut-off point (a.k.a “derestricting”)”
After reading that, I thought the price was steep, but worth it to derestrict my E7000 motor. So I paid the extra 33 bucks for the premium license.
To my dismay, the derestricting option did not appear. As I tried to figure out why, I read a few pages further down the 21 page manual and on page 17, I found a little asterisk disclaimer under the speed settings section: “*NOTE: This setting is only available for DU-E8000 with firmware 4.3.2 only.”
I thought this was misleading to bury that VERY important nugget of information about the MAIN feature of the app way down on page 17 of the user manual, so I emailed the developer to tell them so. Their reply: “I would recommend to read the App’s manual first!”
I found that quite smug and arrogant, and fair enough, I didn’t read every word of the 21 page manual before paying the $33. I got suckered and paid $33 for a reminder to not be so gullible.
So I’m writing this as a warning to other potential suckers out there hoping this app will derestrict their Shimano motor... if you have an E8000 with firmware 4.3.2, it *may* work for you. If you have any other Shimano model motor, stay away from this app, and its sneaky developer!Show lessKampy in CA

You can change the speed limit on any Shimano motor to at least 42 km/h. For the E8000 with FW 4.3.2 more than 60 km/h is possible. Nobody deceived you, all the conditions are described in the manual and description of the App. Moreover, before you paid you were shown all these conditions and you agreed with them. It’s completely not clear what is wrong with you.Disappointed

This app does exactly as described. Download, buy the license and gain the benefits that you are expecting. Very easy process that took 5 mins from getting the app to fixing the bike!Mr Chipp
Great range of features
App is simple to use and has a wide range of features available to the user. The only difficulty seems to be applying for the premium license. Email requests for the optional features receive no response, despite the accompanying message stating you should receive a reply within minutes.sjede9

Not full product
App seems to work, but will not allow the most powerful changes - eg change market - there is an option to send email to “request licence and prices” to unlock all features. This is outside of the Apple store, and not mentioned in app description. Dodgy!STregaronH

This app just took my $55 and sent me the same serial number I already had when I was trying to unlock my 2nd bike. I used a different phone, seperate apps, the only crossover was my credit card details. Not happy.dazseg

You have to send license request for each bike. It's not possible to generate the license key If you didn't send a license request for your 2nd bike
