Exemplary game riddle

Unique and novel(no pun intended), it is THE perfect game for literature lovers. One notably recurring theme within the app is the mention of racism… which might find you thinking; “can’t we just have more books that really is just well-written for the sake of itself?”

What a waste of “ink”

I absolutely loved this game until I wasted vast amounts of “ink” to get their “rare” book Don Juan. Rare books in this game cost much more ink but are worth it (usually). In this case, don’t bother! We barely get any of the poem at all….never even meet the protagonist, only his mother. I truly feel I have been swindled and it’s put me off this great game. I did write and complain but received no reply.

Far too political

I don’t have a problem with politics but this app has certain agendas. I would like it if it were much more accessible and not to alienate a huge audience. Introducing classical and contemporary books to balance out the content would be a good idea. I like the app and I’m hooked on the books I’ve got in my library and it’s introduced me to some great literature but I think it needs a bit of refining. I’m also not an American so it’s kind of strange to read about black struggles and what not when I’m not interested in it.
Also another thing, the store could use some improving, sometimes books are there that I have already read and it would make better sense to get rid of this and some of the features. It’s a very casual game not Fortnite so I don’t understand why it needs such a feature. Make all the books available for a certain price, the random weekly drop makes no sense for this kind of game. Otherwise this game would be excellent

Nice game!

Can we get Casino Royale next? I read it before…

Super fun

I love this game! It’s so nice to read a book while playing with the words! I would love it even more if there were other languages, too - great way to practice.

Brilliant

If you love to read and you like games this is the perfect break from turning pages, while still getting your story fix. Beautifully simple

“That’s Not A Game!” Yeah, it is!

I really love this game. Okay, yeah, for the most part you are just proofreading books. It is much more than that though.

The books are abridged, which is fine for this game and works very well. I do find myself addictively playing because I want to know what happens in the next chapter. I found Dorian Gray much more interesting in Dear Reader because Lord Henry’s pedantic diatribes we’re succinct, short, and to the point. I’ve done a few of the harder books and still found myself enjoying learning about things I didn’t think I would find interesting. I’m getting exposed to books I’ve always wanted to read but haven’t gotten around to, and I am learning new things. Fantastic!

If you love reading, word games, writing, or anything else to do with words, you will probably enjoy this game. I really like that you can select your favorite types of Wordplay so you see them more often. I also like that you can drop down a speed/earning level for a more relaxing game or step it up for a super fast-paced game. The mid-level is challenging but not overwhelming.

Developers: Please switch to a QWERTY layout instead of the silly A to Z format that you use, it takes too long to find a letter you know you need and you are penalized for not knowing where it is. We ALL text, most type, QWERTY would be an awesome improvement. Thank you for making this game!

To Devs: Rare Books & Surprise Book Pkg

Dear Developers, I greatly enjoy your game (it's my favorite in the Arcade, and I've spent many hours on it), except for this issue: Because you offer the Surprise Book Package for 10,000 Ink, I thought that this included the Rare Books, so I bought all of the regular bookstore books, planning to then use the Surprise Book Package to buy the Rare Books at 10,000 Ink each. It was an unpleasant surprise, then, to find that the Surprise Book Package only included the regular bookstore books (since there was no fine print that said so.)

I know this is irrelevant to most of the players here, but I wanted to mention it here both to warn others who were planning the same buying strategy and to ask that you add fine print to the Surprise Book Package so that others aren't similarly misled and disappointed.

Also, please consider reducing the Rare Book prices. Since most of them are greatly abridged, the current prices seem unreasonably high for the amount of content. Thanks for reading and considering my suggestions. :)

PS: Other than the above, I have no complaints - I love the variety and abundance of puzzles, literature, and goals in this game, and it's almost worth the Arcade fee on its own.

Absolutely LOVE This Game

I love all of the types of wordplay and it is accessible for me as a visually impaired person. Definitely recommend

I like it but why a limited time book store?

I don’t really understand the choice to have a rotating shelf of books to buy with ink or why they are all so expensive. It feels somehow like a freemium game without the micro purchases. Something trying to overly encourage you to spend all your time at it. And there’s really a long way to go to get any new books, especially if you’re like me and playing timed mode makes it too stressful to enjoy so you get ink even slower. I’m just sort of confused. It seems needlessly unrewarding and sort of discouraging how much ink everything is. I find myself playing less due to that discouraged feeling.
