  • Game Crashed

    I don’t write reviews like this, but reviews like this have helped me not to play a buggy game. If the game is fixed, I’d be happy to rate this a 5 star game, and update this review.

    I have been playing for a while now… I’m on Episode 8 on the main adventure line, but now I’m stuck on making any more progress. The game now fails when trying to open one of the Dr. Who trivia puzzles. I deleted the app, reinstalled, it still broke. I even installed the app on a different device for the 1st time, it picked up right where I left off, however when trying to load the exact same trivia puzzle, it crashed at the same spot. I can now only play the “Adventures”, but that gets me no where, as I’ve already played them all. So now my game is broken, and I can no longer progress any further.

    The problem appears to be either part of the game, or part of my saved game, which is in the cloud. I don’t want to start a new saved game, because it took me so long to get where I’m at.

  • This game needs more… game.

    What a missed opportunity!!!

     I was hoping for something more. Something like the old school (and sadly now gone from the App Store) Mystery Case Files series. A game with a story, where you really had to puzzle things out and pay attention to the surroundings.

    Sadly, this is NOT that.

    This is a cheaply crafted and boring HO slog that utilizes the same (rather ugly) scene's over and over, without even shuffling the object placement. So, The same few scenes, no challenge, no environment to explore, no morphing objects, no in-scene mini-puzzles… and worse, the scenes aren’t even visually appealing.

    There are so many good developers who’ve done *fantastic* quality Hidden Object Adventure Games, and so many great ideas out there to from past games to incorporate that this is just lazy in comparison.
    When Big Fish pulled out of the App Store, it left a hole on iOS in the HOAG genre, and there are a lot of us who are still waiting for someone to come in with a game for us.

  • Fun game, until it stops working

    I really enjoy this game. I like the way you solve different kinds of puzzles to advance the story. It would easily be a 5-star review, except for the fact that in the middle story 6, it stopped loading puzzles. The loading screen gets to about 30% then freezes. I tried leaving it there for a while, in the hope that it might just be really slow, but no matter how long I leave it, it never loads. I tried turning my iPad off and back on again. I also tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but it still does the same thing.

    I contacted support, but they just said they’ll look into it and then closed my ticket.

    I will happily change my rating to 5-stars, when/if the problem is resolved.
