Fake?

None of the photos shown are of the actual app as far as I can tell. Even their website is selling a different version of the app. It’s like they are trying to sell investors on stuff that isn’t really ready yet.

Panel is okay… hard to be reset every other month. Didn’t have enough relays to fit all my breakers, etc.

Installation was a real pain. Overall, not my favorite smart panel by a long shot.

App Needs Work, Panel Is GREAT

Visually hard to use. Orange text on white background needs to improve. An/or get the app to observe Dark Mode when endless in IOS.

Panel is AWESOME.

No Dark Mode

Please add a dark mode. One star due to lack of dark mode. Also, app is not persistent in the background. It is constantly reloading when I go in/out of the app.
———————————————————————————Update: There is no legend for the data on the insights tab. What does negative indicate? What does positive indicate? No way to tell what circuit used what form of energy (solar/battery/grid). No option to see your energy mix of solar/battery/grid. The tabs at the bottom are too close to the iOS “home bar” at the bottom of the app/UI. UI/UX not optimized for dynamic island/iPhone 14 Max.

Nice app. Ton of potential

The app itself works well. It appears pretty stable. A few minor little bugs during setup. Renaming circuits gave an error but retry’s worked eventually. Once I got past setup the app just works. There is a recent update that upgraded off grid mode with smart power mode which allow you not only to set the circuits you want on or off during an outage but also let’s you prioritize optional circuits. Kind of like span works except this is based on power consumption to avoid overwhelming the max continuous power output of your inverter or battery whereas span bases it on battery capacity. I like that it has schedules built in as well. What would be really great is if they expanded this to be more of a power management ecosystem. For example being able to interface with the APIs of storage and inverter manufacturers so that you can see and potentially have controls based on remaining storage. Or to interface with smart plugs, especially those with energy monitoring so that you can easily add even more granular controls to devices such as those with vampire loads. Perhaps that is what they envision with the Lumin edge line. Would also be great to expand the insights and reporting. The ability to export a spreadsheet of usage. Or being able to have more advanced reporting. Such as average usage by day of week or time of day over a period of time. I think there sort of power management devices will become standard components in the future for anyone getting solar and storage. I hope Lumin sees the great potential they have in this product and continues to innovate.

Doesn’t work with IPhone 10

Terrible, unstable app. Rebooting phone doesn’t help; deleting and reinstalling app *might* help it briefly work. Given the cost of a system, this performance is a tragedy.

Fixed! Did not work with Apple (edited)

Update: problem resolved. Very quick response from Lumin repaired the issue. (The app worked on Android phone but not with iPhone or iPad.)
