Enjoyed it at first but…
I have been a Parlor member for a year and initially really enjoyed it.
Then noticed I kept meeting the same people at the same events, many of which I wasn’t interested in attending but that kept showing up on my feed.
There were events I noticed on other peoples’ feeds that were more suited to my interests or schedules.
Also, the dating events are a bit of a joke. The environment felt stilted or at times very akward with Parlor men who didn’t have a good handle of social cues around women.
I think it’s a great app, but there can be some tweaks to be added.

Try something to new!
I recently joined the Parlor Social Club, and truly enjoy it! You can meet a variety of people and engage at eclectic venues that you have never visited. I always look forward to receiving an updated list of curated events on the app that are tailored to my interests.
Grabbed and people who lacks manner
Most ppl are nice but I was grabbed at an event at night, and they did not do anything. The women are not better if you are actually in a good shape there is a lot of negativity from insecurity and competition mindset, very tiring. Get a yearly 2000 dollar membership, this is not the place of nice or decent people. Host and company try to bring good experiences and places, unfortunately nyc is a chaotic place.

A great way to find new connections
Parlor is one of the best social clubs that is out there in NYC. After moving back to new York after living in Florida for over a year, I was craving new experiences, new connections, and new friends. Parlor did just that! I’ve been introduced to so many cool different venues and spots that I go to frequently, and is still friends with the people I’ve met through Parlor. I definitely recommend Parlor to anyone looking for what I was looking for!

Better than expected
Really nice and upscale events all around the city. This app creates wonderful opportunities to mix and mingle with various groups and interesting people
Biased App, no transparency
It’s a biased app, doesn’t display the list of all events, the algorithm is tweaked with some unknown bias. I canceled my membership as in spite of paying top tier $40 membership fee, the lower tier members would see more events than top tier members! Hence it’s all shady practices without any transparency!

What a scam
If you subscribe to NeueHouse or SohoHouze newsletter you get the same events for free with no need to pay anything. One event was locked as Premium but i was able to RSVP directly from NeueHouse website. What a scam. What a waste of time and money. This is a ghost town app.
Not good
In todays world business dont care about loyal members or customers. I first started going to parlor back in 2014. I rejoined back in October after a long waitlist. Out of nowhere they freeze my membership. Its not worth the time and energy. Its one of those places where its too good to be ture.
Curation at it’s finest
Perfectly curated events, social mixers, etc. the community of Parlor members is a tasteful combination of every walk of life. You’ll feel heard with perfectly curated events just for you. If you’re looking for what NY really has to offer sign up for Parlor. The connections and the opportunities to go places you may have otherwise never known of is definitely worth it.
