  • Amazing App

These people are geniuses and so kind. I emailed a couple questions and within 3 hours had a response and answer!

Also took my suggestion and making it happen.

I will be telling my friends about this app for sure. It works like a charm and the support is awesome!
  • Major brands missing

I had high hopes for the app but upon buying it, I noticed that 2 out of the 4 brands of embroidery floss I use are not among the 175 brands claimed in the app description. These brands (Classic Color Works and The Gentle Art) are extremely popular and I’m surprised and disappointed that they’re missing. I’ve searched numerous ways thinking I must be overlooking them but they’re nowhere to be found.

Thanks so much for letting us know. While we have 25 years of experience with machine threads, embroidery floss is not as familiar. We will add the brands you mentioned as soon as possible.
  • No Isacord

I purchased this app after a recommendation was shared in an embroidery group I belong too. I was instantly disappointed to find that Isacord thread is not included. A big waste of money for me!! I would like a refund.

Actually Isacord was one of the first threads we added to the app. We have updated it several times, and have recently added all of the variegated threads. If you are unable to find it please contact us at our support website so we may help you. Thanks so much! Support: http://www.onlinesewing.com/support
  • Colors Submitted Never Updated

I get that there are many brands of threads and that colors may change or numbers reused for different colors by the same brand. But I have over ten missing colors I have submitted two times a month apart. They are current numbers and currently sold thread colors. Yet they have never been added to the data base. There should be a way to at least manually input the numbers on your own device. Not living up to the hype for me.

We certainly understand your frustration, and we have added a question in the Q&A to address this situation. There are multiple factors that affect your submissions being added to the thread Library. First, all submissions are completely anonymous. To protect your privacy we have absolutely no idea who has submitted them, or how to get in touch with you. The downside of this is that we cannot ask questions, or request more information. There have been many cases of threads being submitted that are actually variegated, with multiple colors, but only one color has been submitted. If we add the thread with only one color it will be misleading to anyone who is trying to match a solid color, but not variegated. Whenever missing threads are submitted we first try to find a complete thread chart for the brand. If we are successful we will enter the entire line of threads, rather than only those submitted. If we cannot identify the brand, e.g. it is submitted as “Polyester” with no company identification, then we can’t enter it at all. There is no point in adding a thread that no one will be able to buy if they want to use it. We added the ability to submit variegated threads in version 1.3, but it is a tedious process. Version 1.4, soon to be released, simplifies the process. One big change in this version is that it will provide an on-screen notices when new threads are added. Many other improvements should make it much easier to use.We are also making changes to the submission process so you can notify us of what thread is missing and where a chart can be found so that we can add it. We spend many hours each week entering new threads, and we always try to add entire lines, rather than just one type or a few colors. Thank you so much for using our app, and for providing feedback. We do listen and any changes that will improve it for you will be made.
  • Perfect

It’s the best app out there for anyone who does embroidery. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!
  • Top notch

I haven’t been using the app for very long, but it’s already been so useful for cataloguing my threads. If only for the convenience of having your catalog with you when you’re shopping, it’s worth every cent. The cost of duplicate colors add up, and if it saves you from doing that just a few times, it has paid for itself. If you are serious about sewing or embroidery, and you take your thread just as seriously, you need this app. I’m so happy I got it.

  • Great organizer

I love the fact that this app crosses supply lines and organizes my threads for color shopping. To save time, I would love to see a barcode entry system using the camera.
  • Updated: Amazing costumer service

I'm updating my previous, three-star review to give five stars because of the developer's fantastic customer service. I'd commented that Coats and Clark Dual Duty thread was missing, and they responded quickly to my review. When I checked the thread options later in the day, they had added the missing thread and several others! This app is now everything I'd hoped because it allows me to catalog my ENTIRE collection of thread, both for embroidery and for regular sewing. I initially thought the price of the app was a bit high, but you get what you pay for ... A great product with wonderful customer service. I'm so happy with this app!!

App makes it easy to catalog and keep track of your thread. Adding threads to your inventory is quick because of the option to search by number. My major complaint and the reason that I rated the app only three stars is that Coats and Clark polyester "regular" sewing thread isn't included. I had hoped to be able to organize my entire thread collection, not just my embroidery thread.

Thanks so much for using our app! We are continually adding new threads to the Library, and will add any Coats & Clark threads we missed. Additions will appear in your automatically without any action required on your part.
