A great idea but…

Mostly, the app works well. However, the database is far complete and is totally absent for every place I’ve searched. Locally, we have several bike parking bays but none are shown on the app. I have added them myself but they haven’t appeared.
I think this will be a useful app when the database is populated but, for the mean time, it’s not functional.
There are a number of administrative glitches too. It keeps logging me out and it’s unnecessarily complex to log back in. In addition, despite giving permission to use location, it always starts by placing me in London.
In my enthusiasm, I purchased the premium version. Unless the database gets populated very soon, I won’t renew.
It’s a shame to rate an app at only 3 stars because I know how hard it must be to develop something as potentially useful as this. I will hang on for now and see what happens.

Wonderful

It’s super helpful and useful.

They WILL charge your credit card!!!!!

I loaded this briefly to see if it would work for me
They want credit card info first thing so I gave them a Privacy card limited to $1.
About an hour later they tried to charge me $1.99 Even though they swear all over the screen it will not be charged.
Don’t fall for it.

Fantastic app

Very easy to record route. Works perfect. You can see the details of where you went.

RouteHistory vs GPS Travel Journal

I've been using RouteHistory for a while to track my journeys, and it gets the job done. It has the basics like route recording and mapping, which is great. However, the interface feels a bit cluttered compared to the GPS Travel Journal.

One downside is the occasional ads. They're not a deal-breaker, but they do interrupt the experience. Also, there are in-app purchases for premium features if that's something you're interested in. That said, after trying out “GPS Travel Journal”, I have to say it's more polished, user-friendly, and there are no ads or in-app purchases.

If you're looking for a smoother experience, “GPS Travel Journal” is the way to go. While RouteHistory gets the job done, the “GPS Travel Journal” is the better app in my opinion.

Terrible

Completely useless after recording route there is no way to play it back even though it says it can and in the instructions it shows a play button that does not appear in the actual app recorded a route today and can’t use it

Response from developer

Thanks for using it. Playback is a premium add-on The purchase screen for premium add-on can be opened from the settings screen.
