Well done
I have loaded dozens of news apps over the years. Most of those apps had famous names associated with the app. But I have only two or three that I still use. Volv is well written and in my opinion one of the best “ headline” news apps It will have a place on my Home Screen.
This is amazing and SO HELPFUL!
I don’t know why this app isn’t more talked about! It’s like the TikTok for news stories. I love this so much!!
Removing links to the original story/thread was a bad move
The app is significantly less useful since removing the ability to follow a link to the original story or thread being summarized. I frequently want to read further and learn more about a particular story, but now I have to manually switch to another app and manually search for related articles. This eliminates most of the value of the Volv app for me.
I also tried to submit this feedback via the “contact team Volv” feature within the app, but nothing happens when I tap the “send feedback” button after writing something.
Y’all can do better. This app is no longer worth a paid subscription.

Was great, but no longer trustworthy
Until recently, this app did what a bite-size news app should: provide quick summaries of news items, along with source links so you can learn more.
But now, they’ve removed source links. So the depth of the app is gone, as is any form of attribution.
You can’t trust anything in the app, because you can’t see where it came from. At best, this is stealing content without crediting the source; at worst, they may be summarizing content from thoroughly untrustworthy sources and passing it off as truth. Or just making it up entirely. There’s no way to tell.
Either way, the ability to read more was key. By embedding the link browser within the app, it made the entire experience sticky and valuable. Not anymore.
The other changes to the app are fine. There’s a paid tier, and news items that are clearly ads. They need to monetize, and those are reasonable strategies.
But I wouldn’t recommend the app to anybody now.

Great concept, but articles are biased
I really like about 60% of the content shared on this site. The concept is great to have summarize new stories with the option to link to the actual full story. If you want more reading, they do a great job with this. I’m getting multiple news genres all at once in a few sentences is pretty great.
The downside is the articles are politically biased, which I was hoping to avoid.

Gen Z News
I HATE watching and reading the news. It takes forever to gather info, and stock prices drive stories on the news so people invest more. This app is amazing!! So far, no business involvement, no skewed articles, and amazing news! Happy I finally found this app!!!!
Like the idea. Couple minor tweaks and could be great
I just downloaded this a bit ago and I really like the idea of the app. I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile. One thing i would add is having different sections to scroll under. Like if I only wanted to scroll under the sports news I would go to the sports section and swipe through the sports headlines. But overall, I do like the app and idea. Keeping it short and to the point is what I prefer.

Someone Ok app
I downloaded this app probably 6+ months ago, and use it almost everyday. The guy who I saw on Instagram telling me about it was an unbiased news source. Which after downloading this app that I Believed was also non-biased, I’ve come to realize that it shows only one side to many many political issues. Such as the current presidential election, I’ve seen nothing but stories relating to Trump and all of his mistakes, but nothing relating to issues from the democratic side of the spectrum?

Possible Improvement
Love the app so far. Some feedback and potential improvement: If you exit the app and open it again, I start reading the article/bits that was on the screen, however after 5-6 seconds it automatically refreshes and removes the old article that I started reading. Instead of it refreshing the current article being viewed, it would be better if it refreshes with latest news from the next swipe down (kind of like clearing the current queue and adding a new updated queue)
It’s a bit annoying if I found a headline really interesting, and just as I start reading it disappears and I can’t finish it.
