I’ve had the iFlip app for a few months now, just to make sure I don’t get scammed, so here’s my review!
Pros:
-No fees!!! There are no fees or charges, and my dividends were paid out to my Flip account.
-Customer service is awesome!!! I bug them a lot, email is the only option, just to make sure I understand why I can or cannot do something and they have always been very helpful and friendly.
-Simple app design, very easy to navigate!!!
Cons:
-Money takes time to deposit to Flip account, and cannot be withdrawn for 5 days, something about legality or whatever.
-Selling stocks goes through quickly during trading hours, but getting the money from the sale took a few days.
-Sometimes the app doesn’t keep up with the current price of a stock that I want to purchase, it’s not off by much, probably just lag time.
-Dividend reinvestment doesn’t seem like an option, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.
Overall I really like the app, and the cons I listed above are not significant enough to drive me away. It’s a free investing app, they don’t charge for purchasing or selling, they payout dividends, and they have options to put their algorithm to work for you, which I haven’t tried yet cuz it’s $150 minimum.
I saw the videos on YouTube about the company and the fees they charge if you use the algorithms and make a significant amount of money. I suggest trying it out, or watching their videos on YouTube if you have any doubts. 👍
