ShakerXY fait partie de « GameLAN », ensemble d’applications musicales conçu par Grame, Centre national de création musicale. Elles s’appuient sur la technologie Faust (https://faust.grame.fr/) et ont été imaginées pour êtres jouées en utilisant simplement les mouvements du smartphone. Pas de prérequis musical, seul vos gestes feront de vous un musicien !
Faust est un langage de programmation pour le traitement numérique du signal en temps réel. Il permet de concevoir de manière simple des synthétiseurs et des effets audios pour un grand nombre de plateformes et peut notamment être utilisé pour créer des applications web et mobiles pour la musique, des plug-ins audios (ex. VST, AU, etc.), des externals pour Max/MSP, PureData, CSOUND, etc., ou encore des applications indépendantes.
Les 7 applications de la famille « GameLAN » (Sinusoide, Baliphone, Sequenceur, ShakerXY, Attackey, DroneLAN, Atomicro) peuvent être jouées en solo ou en orchestre.
