  • One small pic at a time

This app is not very friendly. Yep, you discovered it, it only downloads 1 pic/vid at a time… don’t search the list very long, the camera Wi-fi will disconnect. The must have download all function was not in the cards for this app. One would think the SeaLife folks would get it together…
  • Too basic of an app

This app is just a marketing ploy to be able to say “we too, have an app”…

Too basic to be useful. Can’t rotate the iPhone so pictures/movies occupy the whole screen.

I wish SeaLife made their cameras able to download pics to a computer.
  • Pointless App

I just downloaded this app after a dive trip to Bonaire. I followed the instructions of my SeaLife manual to upload my images to the app so I did.

Only uploads one image at a time. It was painful. Completely wasted a couple hours of my time doing so!!! What is the point of this app anyway if you can’t do anything with the photos?!?!?! Thank God my iPad saved the photos under my own personal album.

  • Basically Useless

You can only download on pic at a time, and when I say download I am being generous. It is so slow it’s basically useless. If your old enough to remember what it was like using a modem to download a file, well, that was faster.
  • No wifi connection.

The wifi is useless with my iphone. I don’t carry a computer on dive trips. Totally unsatisfied.
  • Rubbish Can’t Cope with Even 30 sec clips.

So I went full on with the SeaLife brand upgrading from GoPro.

The camera is really good the flex connect system brilliant and the lenses are also good quality. So I’m happy with SeaLife but this app is terrible! It can’t even handle a 30 second clip without freezing. There’s no functional editing, you can only select one video file at a time to download. Downloading is sooooo slooowwww. Why they have even bothered to launch this as a bespoke app for the Micro 3+ camera is beyond me. GoPro app Quik is by comparison brilliant and so fast and user friendly too. I’ve this app after just one week away with my camera. Now I just connect the camera to the iPad with a cable (much faster) and import everything into photos. From there I open Quik and carry on as I did using my GoPro.

Come on SeaLife you can do better surely than this?

  • Worst app ever!

This is by far the worst app I have ever used! The problems with this app are too numerous to put here. How does Sealife survive with this horrid app for a popular camara!?!
  • Works

The app needs work as all the other reviews have mentioned. However, it does the basic task of reviewing the pics and video on a tablet while also adjusting settings and deleting unwanted files. I just use the usb port to transfer files to a pc.
  • Unreliable app, slow Wi-Fi transfer speeds

The Wi-Fi transfer speed to my iPhone is incredibly slow, even when it’s sitting a couple of inches away. It takes ~20s to transfer a single 5MB JPEG, which is about 0.25 megabytes / second. Transferring 100 photos from a couple of dive takes half an hour or more. I’ve tried disabling Bluetooth according to the troubleshooting guide, to no avail.
The Wi-Fi connection is unreliable, and transferring 100 photos will often take 3-4 tries when it disconnects part way through.
The camera will turn off Wi-Fi if the phone ever disconnect, at which point I have to tediously navigate the camera menus to turn it back on & wait for that to complete.
The app will crash every time when I reconnect to the Wi-Fi after it has disconnected, meaning I have to restart the app and turn Wi-Fi on on the camera an additional time.
The app does not disable screen lock, and so I have to tap the screen every few minutes for the whole transfer to keep it from locking — because locking causes it to disconnect.
When the app disconnects it does not offer any way to resume the transfer and I have to manually figure out how far through the transfer it got before it stopped.
I can’t select photos before the thumbnail has been downloaded, unless I want to select “all photos” for a day.
If I want to download more than a GB, I’m arbitrarily prohibited from doing so, and the “select all” function becomes useless.
I have to select the photos I want to transfer, transfer them, then select them again, and delete them. It would be very helpful to have the app be able to delete the photos as they are downloaded, or leave them selected.
I can’t switch to another app while it’s transferring or it’ll lose the connection, which is made much more frustrating because of the long transfer times.

  • No photo saving

What’s the point of downloading photos to the App if they’re then stick in the app and can’t be used anywhere or downloaded to iCloud Photos. Pointless app. It doesn’t take much to make an app that is useful!
