  • Too Much!

This app is too much! You have to take pictures for every action to clean a pool. A picture before and after is understandable. But to take a picture of the skimmers, the Polaris bag, your net, your brush, your vacuuming hose, your filter pressure. The list goes on and on. And you cannot move on to the next action unless you take a picture. It overheats your phone and your phone battery will drain before you get half way through your route! I used this app with the company I used to work for and we had so many issues! I do not recommend this app for any pool company. I was on my phone at a pool more than my time spent cleaning the pool. It’s ridiculous! The chemical part in the beginning is very counterintuitive.

Not to mention, it is a lot of back and forth!

  • Efficiency killer for technicians

This app will have you running back and forth from the pool to the equipment at least 4 times every visit. The rigidity of when steps can be done is ridiculous and completely wrecks the routine technicians create for themselves to get pools done quickly. Most of us get paid by the pool so every minute wasted is money out our pockets.

  • Through of you want that

Documents everything keeps liability for shutting gates, doors, etc. to a minimum. If someone’s distracted they cannot overlook something leave. Something undone. Life hits everybody now and then with a distraction this app will keep everything in line.
  • Good app

App works great I don’t mind using it, it absolutely destroys your battery tho just something to keep in mind
  • Over 50gig of memory in 1 week.

Works as well as any other…but, in so far as I can tell, uses your phone as its own cloud storage. Over 50g in one week. I can see how this app would render many phones useless. Just get in the habit of deleting and reinstalling every other day
  • Using over 50g of space

I’m assuming it’s not deleting the 3 million pictures…but this is far too large. Support link leads to brands main webpage. Performance wise, the app is fine
  • Not impressed

Being that, I’ve used Skimmer before didn’t take long for me to realize this app isn’t the greatest. Having to get my phone out constantly to take all these pictures is asinine. I proved myself a long time ago. All these pictures are not necessary. I don’t need to prove with pictures that I’m doing my job. However, I would like to be able to document a filter cleaning without having to go through the entire pool service route to get to where I can click on filter clean. But unfortunately, you have to take it before picture and go through everything you go through like you’re there to service the pool and to me. That’s not efficient. If I need to put a new bag on a Polaris 280 there’s no way for me to document that I did that. My boss is telling me to text him if I need to do something like that, and that defeats the purpose of having the software.. shouldn’t there be a section for you to add something important like that that needs to be billed for and trigger the office to bill for it?

  • Not technician friendly

I’m a pool tech, switched over to pool brain after using skimmer and jobber.
The only nice thing is pool brain covers you with all the pictures you have to take. You have to take a lot of pictures. Like when you backwash, take a picture of the backwash valve open, then of it on filter. Why you ask, idk. The Chem calculator seems to only tell me how much shock, ph up or down and alkalinity. It doesn’t tell me to use anything else like phosphate control, clarifier, algaecide. Logging chems is also a nice thing. The only history I can see if chem history, so what was the ph last visit. I can not see pictures taken at last visit, even if I was the one who took them. Unlike skimmer I can not see the past visits and when things were installed. This app has only made my job harder. If your a business owner don’t use this app.

This app has been very beneficial to my company in many ways.

The customers love all of the information that is provided on the weekly emails that are sent out in real time.
We provide pictures, chemical readings, PSI gets checked every week with a pic, backwashing is documented along with everything else you can think of !

The office has been running so much smoother that it is almost scary.
This app had eliminated most of the nonsense call that we would get it the past from customers as well as the guys in the field.

As far as the service techs in the field it has made the job a easier as well with a list of services that have to be preformed with pictures before the tech can move on to the next service needed.

The customers equipment is also listed for every customer so the service tech will always have that information available.

I highly recommend Poolbrain not only is the app amazing but the tech support the team behind poolbrain is just as awesome.

A amazing group of people always available for you and dedicated to making the best app in the world to make owning and running a pool business a little easier.
