Ruined
Originally I thought this game was perfect but then the spider missions started. Actually ruined the game. They’re tacky for no reason, they’re super fast for no reason, they do tons of damage for no reason, headshots are nearly impossible to get, and they are absurdly common. The spider queen boss or whatever is impossible. The spiders spawn so frequently you can barley get any hits on the queen. Literally like three shots per minute and then you are swarmed by spiders and constantly have to heal otherwise you are shredded in 2 seconds. I’ve tried every form of weapon on this boss and even spent most of my money on an energy weapon. None of them worked. So now I am 75k down and have no idea how to deal with this. This actually ruined my experience with the because the missions went from fun and challenging to severely annoying to deal with and after spending all my money on a weapon that doesn’t help at all and is worse than the weapon I was using, I’ve lost almost all motivation to play the game again. Game has no business being this good
Amazingly fun. I guess the low poly style allows for surprising levels of detail and hours on hours of gameplay. Plots and subplots, in unexpected breadth — for example there’s an optional side quest that lets you gain the skill of talking to animals, leading to more side quests throughout the game — quirky and occasionally odd, but all the more entertaining for it. Realism in terms of resources — you have to stay stocked up on ammo, grenades, med kits, even gasoline. Lots of items to buy from “merchants,” different guns that use different types of ammo, different ways to kill and heal and shield and upgrade, minigames. There are like 30 skills you can level up and you have to choose between them when you get skill points. I’ve thought about deleting because it’s that addictive. I play the free version, usually on airplane mode, and you really don’t have to make any real-money in-game purchases to do everything you want to, assuming you won’t be playing for more than two hours a day — then again it’s hard to put down. Amazing game, 10 out of 10. 5 stars. But there are some small things in the game I’d like to see that I think would make it way better. More attachments. Not complicated ones though, an easy system like 4 different for grips and some stock options for the stock and maybe a barrel and muzzle we can buy to improve our guns. It’d look super cool and I’d love to see something like this implemented into the game. And maybe a system where we can find attachments (rare) when scavenging, but they’d be less affective based on quality of found said item. Just a thought.
