  • Nutrisense app

I’m liking the CGM and its connection to the app. But the app is NOT user friendly or intuitive. Improvements on making the app easier to use, specifically recording food . It’s taken me 2 weeks to figure it all out.
The data gathered is huge but hard to parse out what’s most important. The nutritionist helped me figure that out. I think those whose insurance won’t cover the nutritionist should get a significant discount on that as well. $100 for 30 minutes is a lot. And you really need to have that support to stay with this. Making these changes for those with pre diabetes is super difficult. You need a human coach to stay with it as you can get really discouraged at times. I love the access to the nutritionist as it’s hard to find one in my area that takes new patients. But the price should be much lower. Those on Medicare can’t get reimbursed .
All in all, Nutrisense is very helpful and keeping me in it for the long haul. I’ve lost weight and dramatically changed how I am eating. Just need to stay the course now.

  • Readings not accurate

I thought things were going good, then I got 3 sensors one after another that the readings were not accurate. The sensor I have in my arm now is still off by at least 13 points. I have to calibrate multiple times a day. One sensor, the wire was folded into itself and gave me ultra low readings at night for which I went to urgent care and spent the whole day there. The almost didn't let me leave because it was reading extremely low at night but seemed accurate sometimes when they checked it did matched up at the hospital. I missed two days of work because the alarm was waking me every hour. And I was eating all night long to keep my blood sugars up. I would suggest to check all highs and lows against a finger stick. The next sensor broke off into my arm. I think the wire is still in there. This is a medical device and you need to have a doctor nearby, with so little and bad support, you feel lost and helpless if anything goes wrong.

  • Directions are very unclear and not sure if it's working,

It's been 12 hours after install and the directions are unclear. The only help that can be obtained is through email and takes days. You'd think with the most expensive program out there that it would be better. This is a tech company that wants to run a huge company with 5 people to maximize profits... but they will loose out to better customer service companies. There are lots out there, sad I went with this company. You are on your own. Just waiting and hoping for something to happen for days on end.....update: turns out you have to activate the sensor through two apps and two possible censors. The directions are so unclear and all separate in different places. The alert that it couldn't find the sensor went off in the middle of the night and woke my family up. I guess you have to activate it before you put it in your arm!! Also unclear. So I wasted a sensor. I already hate this company with a passion. Go with someone else.
