Kuarki - Traveller between wor(l)ds is a free interactive app for multilingual children and other foreign language learners aged 10 and over.
Kuarki and his friends take your child on a journey not only through words but also through different worlds as the title of the app suggests. With the help of this app, children can expand their vocabulary and practice their reading and writing skills. The aim of the app is to contribute to closing the gap between school and home language and to provide the readers with new knowledge in an interesting and fun way. Children who want to learn a foreign language and improve their reading skills can also be supported by using the app.
The fictional protagonist Kuarki leads through the different worlds (human being, earth, universe & life ) and dedicates himself to questions like "What is in the centre of the earth?" or "Why does practice make the master?". For each question he finds someone, whether an egg cell or Isaac Newton, who can answer the questions. The questions are based on frequently asked questions by children aged 10 and over.
The app can combine the following languages: German, English, Russian, Turkish, Lithuanian, Slovakian, Slovenian, Croatian, Hungarian and Romanian. This results in a wide range of possible combinations to close the gap between home and school language.
The appealing illustrations and contents of the app are of course not only suitable for multilingual children, but also interesting for adults who want to refresh their knowledge of foreign languages and natural sciences.
Kuarki - Traveller between wor(l)ds is an app supported by Erasmus+ (EU) and is therefore safe for children and free of advertising, so the app can be used with a clear conscience at school or at home. Our content has been developed by international education experts and meets the highest educational standards in Europe.
