  • Wishing for more freedom

I haven’t had my watch long but so far I love it. The only real gripe I have is I wish there was a little more freedom with the customizable watch face. I would love to be able to choose the font and placement of the time, and other things like steps or BPM like some of the other preloaded faces have.

  • Smart watch Yamay

I got a smart watch for my birthday and this app works well with it. I use MyFitnessPal normally
  • Doesn’t give access to Apple health

I bought this watch to sync with Apple health. But it only gives access to steps counter and not most of the other functions. I didn’t get the watch just to see my steps. I’m looking forward to see this fixed soon. Thanks!
  • Pretty useless

The app doesn’t synchronise with the data on the watch at all.
  • Ups and downs

My watch looks nice and feels good. Performance let’s me down. It doesn’t sync to Apple Health. Monitoring steps are the reason I purchased it. The watch will say 5000 steps and the health app will say a huge number 374,000. It appears to keep feeding repetitive data. I actually tested the step counter on the watch. I took 20 steps and it registered much higher. Now I am wondering if I should count on it at all.

  • App won’t sync with IOS

First of all the 5 star reviews for this app are so obviously fake and generic enough they could be applied to almost any product. I wouldn’t have downloaded this app at all based on any of these 4-5 star reviews, but I already bought the smart watch and hoped to be able to sync the app and watch with my Apple health app. So far I’m not having any luck. The connect to Apple health portion only offers instructions rather than actually connecting to Apple health. I can’t seem to get them to sync, Apple health app doesn’t give me the option for Onlyfit as a data source.
I have had the fitness tracker very long so hopefully it does become easier to use but so far the app is disappointing, the device itself isn’t bad at all for the price!

  • Frustrating

Purchased a smart watch from Yamay (interestingly the smart watch I’ve purchased doesn’t show on their support links or developer website) in order to use the watch you need to download this app, which then fails to log any tracking data such as steps, heart rate etc etc and seemingly needs to syncronise every time you want to change a watch face, or any of the other settings.

No clear instructions on how to resolve any of these issues other than turn the device off and on again, or turn the Bluetooth off and on again. Which doesn’t work.

    Avoid.

  • Needs a little work

Paired easily with Yamay sw022. Home page only shows sport mode data and not steps taken when not in sport mode. Excess sport modes can’t be removed.

Doesn’t sync well with IOS health app. Only syncs steps and currently has a bug. I walked 571 steps and it logged 119,734 steps in the health app. (1+2+3+4+..+571). Does not sync heart rate, sleep, or calorie data with the health app.

Overall, not bad, but still needs a little work.

  • Keep expectations low so you don't get annoyed

    CONS:
There are 14 sport modes but nothing just for general training. There are no directions on what "sport" is closest to doing a body weight exercise or if you wanted to lift. There are no functions to set "goals" outside of just steps. Can only do 3 alarms. Notifications are not consistent coming in. Cant remove all of the sport modes that you don't use/do. Music control works by opening the music 1st (keep in mind). Doesnt do resting calories- only based on workouts. Everything is looked at individually. Have to click through multiple ways to really see everything- cant see overall heart rate or overall for "fitness activity"- which the fitness activity is the actual point of the app and using the watch.

    Pros:
Can make your own watch face, can see your heart rate throughout the day, battery life, big/bold make it very easy to see, activity ring very straight forward (this is what sold me), watch is inexpensive but design is clean ($40 roughly on Amazon),touch screen is very very receptive on watch, app is simple design, sedentary reminders are great, can see your sleep on the watch.

    Overall:
I would give it between 2-3 stars. But what pushed me to 2 stars is honestly was the sports modes. When someone is in workout mode they dont want to think if skipping counts as a bodyweight exercise or does lifting count as a football exercise. Also- people playing football wouldnt wear the watch tbh they would probably take it off so a lot of the sports functions are a waste of space and can throw someone off bc its a little irritating. Should be able to load exactly what you do and that would push it to 3 stars. If i was able to set individual goals in the app and maybe water reminders as well as just collectively see your performance on the app and could set more than 3 alarms as well as remove pointless sport modes and have a training option for bodyweight exercises would bring it to 3.5-4 stars and i would probably never buy an expensive app again. At that point the differences would be a fitness community and aesthetics then additional bells and whistles like gps and stuff or texting from it.

If you want something that holds you accountable to get your stuff done and be generally aware of your health.. YES its awesome. If you've used something more expensive OR need something more seamless and multiple goal options- save up and buy more expensive watch that comes with an app that has been thoroughly vetted and thought out from a user perspective.
