Absolutely not for newbies
I set up the server and it seems to work on the desktop. Remote client (this app) literally only has a box to enter the server address. Tried a ton of possibilities and none work. The app has no help and no instructions. Obviously if I had networking experience the answer would be obvious, but I don’t. Can’t get it to work. Deleted.Show lessKoowanPStark
Very impressed
Got a media server up and running to stream my PC’s movie files on my iPhone when I’m in bed in like 10 mins. Jellyfin is fantastic. High bitrate 4k video is playing smoothly on my iPhone 13 Prokdhsvhaiak
Not reliable
I want to like this app, and I don't want to go back to Plex, but it just doesn't work a lot of the time. The app doesn't load and I have to restart it to get the home page, the videos stop playing or the whole app crashes when switching in and out of pip, and the progress tracking is hit and miss...Show lessjatoo

Native player from older iPadOS version
This app is really great, but with the update of iPadOS 16.3 the native player is now using the older iPadOS version (the one without the double tap gestures for forward and previous seconds).
This older player is super annoying.

Terrible app, supports almost no codecs natively, only good for remote administration, enable DLNA and just use VLC, you will have a better time.Thatsmints
