Needs “dark mode” but decent app

Overall a good app and pretty easy to use, but definitely needs dark mode especially for night feeds (or people like me that just hate a stark white screen). I like the basic home screen because it shows time spent on left vs right breast so I’m not neglecting one side, but I wish it also had a marker indicating which side you used last. Yes that is available on the timeline screen, but it’d be nice to see more in one place without switching back n forth. Also when editing a previous nursing session, it always moves the marker of “starting breast” to the left side with no way to correct it, even if the left breast was not used at all. The timeline screen is nice because it gives a good visual of the day, but I dislike that it doesn’t integrate when I pumped on baby’s account, or show the other “mom” features. I know that stuff is not about baby, but it’d be so much more convenient to have it all on one page or at least have the option to combine them or “view all”. I also wish there was a clean/dry diaper option to log as well. Lastly, some taps/selections have to be exactly on point as if the “buttons” aren’t big enough to receive the feedback. Really minor complaints and again it’s overall a good app, but these things add up and I am considering switching to using my other app to track feeds/pumps due to the reasons listed above.

Great app overall!

This app is great and it works well with the actual pump. I love how it keeps a time line for you which makes you easily remember how long it’s been since you last fed your baby specially when they’re newborns and you have to constantly feed…. Lack of sleep makes it difficult to remember things 😅.

The only thing I would change about this app, and this is just me nitpicking, is that when you log in how much milk you pumped, the dot you push up the bottle is on the way of the numbers which makes it impossible to match it to where the liquid line is in respect to the markers in the bottle that mark where the oz and ml are… It would make it better if the dot was smaller so you can see where you’re placing the line or non existent.

Thanks for listening!

Great baby tracking app

Probably one of the best user friendly baby tracking app. It is simple but perfect. Very easy to navigate between mom and baby. Good to track pumping, bottle feeding, diapers and breastfeeding. Only missing a sleeping tracker and a graph to compare pumping vs how much the baby drank! Love it!

Good idea, not great execution

The idea of the app is great. But if you’re debating between this pump and another solely based on this one having an app, I wouldn’t consider it as a decisive factor.
The pump itself is great. No complaints there.
The app is glitchy. I’ve found that at least once or twice a day it doesn’t log my pumping session using the SmartPump feature. The session either disappears or the app locks up when you get to review screen before you’re able to log the amount of milk expelled. What’s the point in the SmartPump feature if you have to manually input it anyway?
They’ve definitely got some glitches to work out.

Great pump!

Absolutely love this pump and the app! I have another pump as well that is a hands free wearable one but it doesn’t drain me nearly as much as this pump, so this is now my go-to. I like the Bluetooth ability and the options to use either cord free with batteries or plug in depending on me needs.

Favorite feature is when you finish pumping, the app asks if you want to set a reminder for the next pump session! I used to sometimes forget to set a reminder for the next session, but since using the Baby 2.0 app it asks if I’d like a reminder at the end of each session! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good pump!

Due for an app update, otherwise nice features

This app is excellent for timer and tracking purposes. The interface is easy to understand because of the visual design and helpful during sleep deprived times.
However the last app update seems like a year ago. It is definitely due for an update.

Problems with the app (iOS):
1. If you start a session in the Lansinoh app, then switch to a different app, and then reopen the Lansinoh app from home screen, the session will disappear. Always need to reopen a continuing session from the app manager in order for the session timer to be preserved.
2. Under History tab > Overview Graph, the left side purple column with the times is not to scale at all in the default view and the zoomed in view. When I zoom in on the dots, the time scale should move relative with the dots. Though the relative positions of the dots are ok, the time scale is incorrect.

Improvements suggested:
1. For the Overview Graph it would be nice if we can continuously scroll to see graphs from past weeks in addition to the current option of selecting from a drop down menu. Easier to compare weeks this way.
2. I find it not necessary to have both a mom view and a baby view. Both views should be combined so i can see for example breastfeeding, pumping, bottling, and diaper data at same time (my most used functions).

Makes Tracking Pumping Easy

This app is a great tool to use along with the Lansinoh Smart Pump 2.0, especially if you are an exclusive pumper. The app connects to the pump via bluetooth to record pumping sessions, and also allows you to track breastfeeding, mom’s water intake, and more. Data tracked can then be viewed as a weekly summary.

While I really enjoy the app, there are a few minor quirks. I find it hard to input ounces pumped via the bottle/slider function. The slider is quite touchy, and I find it much easier to input in number form. I have also experienced my pump repeatedly connecting and disconnecting from the app while in use. This can be annoying but there is a simple fix. I simply wait to open the app until I am almost finished with my pump session. All of my data saves without the annoyance.

Overall, this is a very handy app for pumping moms.

Response from developer

Hello Katieas15, thank you for sharing this feedback. We're happy to hear the app works well for you. In order to bypass the bottle/slider when entering in milk, simply tap on the pencil next to the ounces for the left and/or right breast in order to put the accurate amount into the app. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out at app@lansinoh.com. We hope this helps!

I would recommend

The app is okay. This is my 3rd child so I don’t feel I need the notifications to remind myself when to pump. But if this was an option for my first 2 children, I would have found it helpful because of the work environment I was working in. I do like I can keep track of the ounces I pump though.

I am really liking the pump. I had a Medela for my first 2 and I like the style of this one much better. I also like how they come with attachable bases to ensure no spilt milk when detaching them from me, setting on a surface, then pouring into the storage bags.

It works

The 2.0 app works well with the smart pump. It was easy to connect and begin using. I like the reminder option as I am an EP. But the downside is you are not able to delete the “reminder “ until after you’ve added data so this is frustrating. In addition you have to open the app with your phone in order for the smart pump feature to register. It is simple to add in data as a logged pump but would be nice if the last pump start/end time saved within the app or pump until logging back into the app. Sometimes my phone is in the other room and you can’t stop/pause the pump session to grab something. That could also be an area of improvement.

Overall I do like the app, but it should not be the make/break between this pump and the non-smart version

Originally loved the app..

It was all great when I first downloaded, however it no longer finds my smart pump so that Bluetooth feature doesn’t work, and lately the breastfeeding timer just stops if I’m not in the app staring at it. I’m so over it, I use the timer so I know how long we’ve been going but instead I have to guess because the timer disappears. Really frustrating.
Update: I started using my phone timer n and just inpuu I trying the info in the app to keep track. It’s been working fine like that however my app has been down for like a month. I force quit the app, restarted my phone, made sure the app didn’t need an update.. nothing is fixing it. Frustrated that I don’t get to use the apps tracking features or anything anymore. Waste of time now, a whole six months I’ve been using it with all its flaws but I can’t even view my previous stuff or anything anymore. So frustrating. I wanted to see the total time I breastfed & pumped for once my daughter turns 1..
