I paid to remove the ads. I have Battery Alarm to alert when the battery is 40% and at 80%. I chose Space Insects as the audible alert.

This is what you were looking for
A tool to limit iPhone charging to 80%. The free version is manual and too much trouble. If you upgrade to ad-free ($1.29, not a subscription), you can setup an automation which runs every time you plug in. Much more useful. Alarm only as the phone can’t unplug itself and Apple doesn’t offer a software charge cutoff API.

It’s extending my battery life!
I’ve been using this app for over two years on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. My battery health is currently at 98%! I’m thinking I’ll likely get MANY MORE YEARS of great life from my battery. Who could ask for anything more!?!?

One of my favorite apps. A must have tool
I’ve enjoyed this app for well over a year now. I’ve never had any issues with it until the release of iOS 16. FYI make sure to have Siri suggestions turned on!! The battery alarm automation no longer appears in the Shortcuts app when turned off. This tool will help you with your charging habits and keep your iPhone at 100% health. Overall this is probably one of the best apps you’ll find for your iPhone’s battery.

After one try, I paid my 99 cents
Yes this is exactly what I wanted, so it was a no brainier to pay the 99 cents to help support the developer. I do have a suggestion: on the screen with ‘cancel alarm’ it should say ‘cancel/edit alarm’ because that is exactly what that option gives.

Works exactly as specified, and the documentation on how to automate it with Shortcuts is clear and specific. I’m impressed!

As I say, it works fantastic, but I wish it would also protect your Apple Watch battery. One app could protect both and I would pay double.
Winner/Winner Chicken Dinner
I originally was going to give this app a bad review, because some of the adds were too obnoxious and loud and once you shut that one off another add without sound would pop up before you could get to the display screen. Boy I am glade I gave it another shot. Of the 3 or 4 apps that made the cut from what seemed like days off searching the App Store, this app simply named BATTERY, floated to the top. Of the others, One had a nice widget, it worked in the background and Lock Screen, but only had a short notifications ding or “Your batter has reached 80%” one time. So it had to go. One would work on Lock Screen but not in the background. Another almost won out (I really liked the boiling sound as it made my wife giggle) but it had a glitch when using automation; it had a low alarm (which I could take or leave) when using automation to turn it on when plugging in the charger removing a putting back on, it would confuse the high and low alarm and think the low was 80% lol. Others wanted $2.99 to work in the background or worse yet a subscription just to use them. Contrary to the FAQs the free app works through automation. So, If you can stand the adds this is a great free app but we’ll worth the 0.99 one time fee to remove adds. And give the DEV a little something! Oh yea I almost forgot after a while it shows your charging current. Super neat!

It works well and I like the concept and idea.
I guess my biggest complaint which these guys might not be able to fix maybe it’s an iPhone thing .
it would be nice if I could permanently set my phone to stop charging at 80% all of the time I would like to have total control for this
