A very useful app
I’m surprised this function isn't built into iPhones and also very pleased that Tim has developed his app. It really helps to manage battery issues, both alerting that my phone is charged to a moderate level and also warning me of the battery’s immanent demise. Background mode does use extra power as warned but I find it’s worth it. This latest update has resolved some issues I had with all the functions. There is no other app like it, thank you Tim!

Great app feature design, UI could be better
Worth paying $4 for this little app, there're more functions comparing with the free version, the developer doesn't show much about it, I really expect the UI could be improved later. But overall, it's a good app.

Alarm will not sound in background mode
The Pro Version, which you have to pay for, only works occasionally. If you want to stop the charge at 80% it will not work unless is it front and center (displayed on the screen). If you want it to work in the background while you perform other tasks, forget it. The alarm will not go off at either setting, max or min. On iPad, it’s almost useless. Once the background mode switch disappeared from the battery display page. It returned only after deleting and reinstalling the app. The same unreliable crappy performance, discussed above, kept happening even after the reinstall.

Have to pay for background mode
I didn’t mind paying for the pro version to get what used to be free if it worked. The background mode wasn’t very reliable in the free version and now it still doesn’t work for both the minimum level nor the maximum charging level.
Update: They just updated the app. So far it worked on the charge limit twice but the lower limit hasn’t ever worked. I have used a timer in the past because I couldn’t rely on this app. In other words I set a timer for an hour or more depending on the level I’m at. And then also use this app.
Apple is probably the only one to make this really work and they don’t care how long your battery lasts.
Preventing my iPhone X from charging all the way to 100% made my phone stay at maximum capacity for the whole first year and then ended three years use with 90% capacity. So I know this works

Newest update appears to work in both charge and discharge limits. When charging and alarm goes on I plug in charging cable and alarm stops. When it discharges and alarm goes on when lower limit is reached I plug charging cable and alarm stays on. So that’s a minor problem that should be changed but over all I’m happy with the new update.

Alarm works
I gave you 5 stars. I need to ask/tell you that I have to have an alarm stop button somewhere. Nice alarm goes off when battery reaches set level. I am 77 years old and when i unplug the charger Was hoping for the alarm to stop. Could not find stop alarm button.

Please solve below issue
Can’t set 2 seperate alarm for lowest battery and highest battery percentage, I want to set one alarm for 80% and another alarm 20%, this way I won’t charge it more than 80%, one the other hand I will plug it in for charge before battery capacity hits 20%. Currently you can only set one alarm.

Fixed low and high limits
Pretty nice when the developer incorporates a suggestion a user makes!!
Effective BUT...
It's very effective, however as of recent it appears to dramatically drain the battery, running in the background when not charging!!!

My ageing phone shows it has lost quite a bit of its life. To eke out the rest I needed an app to help stop it charging to the limit every time i plugged it in. This app can be set to notify whenever it has charged to a limit you set. Mine only goes beyond 85% now when I set it to do so. Should give me another year or two of useful life, slowing down its ageing rate. Ironically i think you need to Turn OFF ‘use in background’ and dismiss when
finished with each time, as it seems to be power-greedy even at rest.

Tx! Yes you need to turn background mode off when not charging. The app does this automatically when you unplug the cable. I wish there was some low power node I could use. Tim
