Yes it’s a classic “seek and tap” reminiscent of the early Myst games, but the story is entertaining and not too hard to solve the puzzles if you’re on the normal setting. Just tough and fun enough to keep you looking. And just when you think the chapter is over… a plot twist.
The hints and prompts will help keep you from getting really frustrated if you need them. You want a bigger challenge? Turn off hints and prompts… have fun and good luck. Of course there is always a good “walkthrough” somewhere on the internet if you really get stuck, but save that as a last resort.
It’s drawn with the artistry of a good graphic novel with enough detail to set the scene and not look like a cartoon. That really helps to spur the imagination to fill in the blanks.
Audio sets the mood with a light soundtrack that is well balanced, airy and doesn’t get in the way of the sound effects.
All in all it’s a game well built by its creators and worth the few dollars spent per chapter for their efforts. Pro tip: Use your earbuds and play on a tablet with a stylus if you can. “Spoiler Alert” beware the cliffhanger. ‘Nuf said.
