  • Near Perfect Pokédex

Absolutely love this app, within using it for 10 mins I purchased all the content. Reasonable pricing too! Gives all the in game data i’ll ever need. One thing I would like is just to be able to filter the dex by types and also be able to see a type weakness breakdown for my pokémon party’s. Besides that it’s near perfect!

Thank you so much for your feedback. An advanced filter for Pokémon is on our road map, with type search and so much more!
  • Tried a few. Settled on this. Paid for all current DLC

I’ve tried a few different Pokédex apps and this is the first one I’ve seen that lists learned move levels correctly for each generation. Grinding a Pokemon for its next move, only to find it DOESN’T learn it at the level other Pokédexs falsely claim it should, is no joke. Blue and LeafGreen Blastoise learn the same moves at different levels in each game (as I found during a recent replay). Pro Dex correctly lists this Pokémon's moves at the correct level for each game, whereas others (and some popular online Pokémon sites) don’t.

The only thing I might suggest is a list of Pokemon that are unique among generational cartridge pairs. Red can catch X, while Blue can catch Y, etc.

I’m playing through Blue and Red for the umpteenth time on two different devices and it would be nice if I could concentrate on catching in one game, what I can’t in the other, so I can trade via cable to try for a complete Pokédex.

A quick-list of colour-specific Pokémon per generation cartridge pair would be great.

  • Well made great app

Visually impressive from the get go, so I purchased all content. I like the selection mode to choose the game you require the specific information. Well done and keep up the great work.

  • Awesome!

This app is definitely the most well designed out of all the Pokédex apps I’ve seen. I’m really glad I found it! The updated shiny images are also very nice. My only complaint is that the starter Pokémon are missing from some of the generations, although I’m not sure if that’s something you guys are still working on.

Update: I noticed that all the starter Pokémon are there, it’s just separated by game. It would be nice if you could see the complete Pokédex instead of having to keep switching what game you’re playing just to find a certain Pokémon that you’re looking for. Of course, I understand that you have to pay to unlock all the games, but I have already bought premium so it would be nice if I could see all the Pokémon in one list instead of having to switch games all the time. I hope you take this into consideration and keep up the great work!

  • Works okay, ads are invasive

ProDex works well on a number of fronts for what it’s supposed to do and overall, I like it as a resource app. I have three major complaints:

    - Spelling is too often incorrect, and not just on small words but instances such as “Platinium” on the version select. I have read the developers are French so this isn’t my biggest issue, but it’s noticeable.

    - Catch information is sometimes incomplete; I noticed Pokemon Emerald’s third Gen to be completely missing all catch locations for the game’s main generation, being listed instead as “Uncatchable”. I imagine a lot of information is probably just fine, but for one of the most popular games to be missing it’s main Pokemon catch locations makes me wonder where else there’s missing info.

    - Ads are overly invasive. I cannot go through more than 2-3 tabs if that before encountering yet another ad. I am no stranger to having ads in a well designed, free app, but some of these ads are seemingly impossible to click out of due to the ‘x’ being so small. Usually I will have to restart the app to even continue looking for something.
The developers have helpfully included an ad removal option for $0.99, but in my opinion, the ads are frequent enough to dissuade me from wanting to use this app and the typos/misinformation above are enough to dissuade me from wanting to pay the $0.99 for it.

It’s a good effort that needs some refinement and polish, but as of this review, incomplete.

Thanks for your feedback! This is actually really useful. About incorrect spelling: yes, we are French, english is not our native language. Spelling and grammar is really an issue for us and this is something we are working on. If you see some mistakes that you want to report, you can report them at contact@wido.io , we listen very carefully and correct quickly. About incomplete info: the app is quite young (less than 1 year old). We have focused on the latest games first so something might be missing in older gen (especially in emerald strangely). We will work on that soon. About the ads: as we said, the app is not old. We are still adjusting things, the frequency of the ads might change or not in the future. We don’t know that yet.
  • LOVE UPDATED: THIS APP!!! Want to add more feedback 😅

Love the app since Dexter app is MIA this app helps ease that pain LOL! So hyped about the update on teams, however I noticed you don't have an option for adding a Shiny Pokemon on the team option. Not sure if you are working on that but if not PLEASE PLEASE add that option!! Dexter app had that option and love it 😊

    Such a great app!! 😁👍🏼

Beside mentioning above, also noticed when creating teams I am only able to use Pokemon from a specific game instead of picking Pokémon from every gen. For example: I am creating a team for Isle of Armor coming up and have to select a category for the game which I picked SW/SH, however I wanted to add Shinx on my team builder but it wont allow me because its on another game generation. It would be great to pick any Pokemon from any Gen when team building instead of just picking from the selected gen or have an option to select more than one category of game gen.

Thank you for your feedback! UPDATE: Don't worry, we will update the app for the Isle of Armor 😉
  • Great Potential!!

Just started using this app and besides it looking great, it has amazing potential! I have noticed not every pokemon is in their respective generations, I’m assuming that they’ll be added in future updates of the app. Also the app has some hiccups here and there and when I tap the list button on the Pokedex part the app stops responding, but these are all things that can be fixed and don’t hinder the experience that much! I really believe this app has amazing potential to be the best Pokedex app out there, so keep at it guys!

EDIT: For all the pokemon not being in the dex stuff, I was looking at the sword and shield version, so obviously all of them weren’t gonna be there, my mistake lol.

    P. S. A dark mode eventually down the line wouldn’t hurt anybody ;)

  • Great potential

This is one of the nucest looking pokedex's I've seen. it looks very crisp and I really appreciate the look. A few things I wanted to mention however(since it seems like the devs are keeping up with these reviews very well, great job!!) I noticed a few spelling errors on the introductory messages, I personally don't care about this, but I don't want it to scare off other customers. I also noticed a bug when I'm on the pokedex section, when I click the menu button on the top right, it locks up the app, I'm not yet sure what it is intended for, but I presume(and hope) that it is a filter, for types and egg groups or what not. Additionally on that page, I think it would be a great idea to allow the option to display the Pokémon in list format going from top to bottom. I can still appreciate seeing all the Pokémon in a box, but I feel it might make it easier to go through them if they in a vertical alignment. In the end those are just my critiques, I have high hopes for this app, once the team builder is created and those other points get hit, this will be my go to Pokédex app!

Thank you so much for that complete feedback! Our designer is really pleased to see that users like his work haha. Here are our answers point by point: - About the spelling errors: english is not our native language (we are french), we are doing our very best but we assume that it is not perfect. If you want to help us, don’t hesitate to send at contact@wido.io the mistakes you spot. We will correct them for sure. - The button in the Pokedex section is actually here to display Pokémons in a list and not in a grid. We have been noticed that loading is reeeaaaaaly long here. After the launching of the Team Builder and the Expansion Pass, we plan to take time to work on performances. That will be a great improvement. (An option to filter and sort Pokémons is also on our road map).
  • An clean, effective and simple dex app

First off, this is an impressive app covering every game from generation 1 through to generation 8. I use it all the time when playing through Sword and Shield.

My only feedback, and suggestion so far, would be having the move list show which Pokemon can learn that move, similar to the way the abilities list works.

Other than that, the app looks beautiful, contains a lot of information, and is more accurate than most other dex apps as far as I can tell.

I can’t wait to see the team builder when it’s done as I like to play with, and build, different teams. Could we get an update on when this is expected to go live?

    Keep up the great work!

Thank you so much for your feedback! Great news: adding a list of compatible Pokémons for every moves is on our road map and we will definitively do it. About the team builder, we are now correcting bugs, we want it to be launched before the first expansion pack!
  • ProDex (edit)

This app is amazing and helpful as it includes data from every region and because I have started playing competitive, it is helpful to see what the different natures do, Pokémon abilities, moves and more.

I am also looking forward to the team building area of this app as I can use the data from the rest of the app and create teams etc

Great app and thanks for including the things that I love

    Another Edit lol

I have been trying out many different Pokédex apps in the past weeks to try and pass the time and the main reason I now LOVE this app is because I’ve found so many apps that are a waste and it was actually making me sad as i class myself as a competitive battler. Thanks for actually making a good app 👍🏻
