Essential Backcountry Map
I’m an avid cartophiliac and use a variety of mapping applications for work and personal use. I’ve been a fan of OUTMAP for providing a simple mapping experience that provides offline maps for free. In this day and age of tech, having downloaded topo maps that are already basically free should not be a premium feature and OUTMAP provides that accessibility to the people. I als appreciate that the app isn’t cluttered with glitchy map drawers or outsourcing my data. My only complaint is that the recent update removed the heat map layer, it’s one of my favorites for studying use as a public land manager and I was sad to see it go. Worked once
I used this once for a trail (Lake Constance in Washington) and it worked great. I’m trying to save a trail that the app recognizes but it will not work anymore. I cannot save the trail, open the trail, or save a plotted course of the trail that I created. When it worked, it was great. I feel like there are some glitches that need to be worked out.Show lessbdudiejr
