  • So much done well

    This merge game does so much well. There’s new content being released regularly with a delightful storyline (I wasn’t expecting to care about it at the beginning but I’ve been sucked in. Mad props to the writers). The audio design is satisfying, the gameplay keeps me coming back for more (those regular competitions have me hooked man), but the absolute most important reason why I decided to write a review and give 5 stars - how they do ads.

    You are never FORCED to watch an ad. You are given opportunities to get rewards by watching ads, which I take more often than not. I will happily watch ads to put money in devs’ pockets that use respectful advertising practices in their mobile games instead of shoving full screen ads down your throat every 30 seconds. Happily! Thank you for the breath of fresh air. Let it be known your gamers appreciate this choice so much.

  • NOMINATE THIS FOR THE BEST MOBILE GAME!!!!

    This may sound vague and like every other review here, but holy cow, this game is the best mobile game I’ve ever played. I’ve played mobile games since the iPod Touch came out, all of the nostalgic games and whatnot, and I have NEVER played a game as good as this. Before, my top mobile games were “Highschool Story” and “My Fashion Story”. While both were free to play, they did sometimes need in-app purchases to progress faster. If not, it was a slow ride. Both games have unfortunately shut down. It took me years to find a new game I could stick to, but none lasted very long. Then one day, I came across a random ad in another game for Merge Mayor. Seeing this ad made me ecstatic. I downloaded it IMMEDIATELY! After playing for a while, I came to deeply appreciate it. It is clear that this game was made with so much love and careful consideration. From the ad that was direct gameplay from the game (unlike most mobile games these days), absolutely no ads unless you want more energy, to the cute and clean art style, this game deserves to be in the spotlight. I’ve had so much fun playing this game. The tournaments where I’ve fought to the death for first place, the “party mode”, the events with cute and worthwhile rewards, and so much more, there’s never a dull moment with this game. I hope the developers continue to give their whole hearts to this game. I would genuinely hate for it to go downhill. It’s truly a hidden gem.

  • Great, but...

    EDIT: THEY IMPLEMENTED THE BUBBLE CHANGE! changed to 5 stars. I love this game. I have supported the devs by purchasing a few things here and there, but nothing too grand. I wish there was an option to get rid of the bubbles that quite literally do nothing but block my playspace for a minute at a time (and it is often triggered), such as a one-time purchase to activate a toggle on whether or not you want them. Also, when you click on a manure pile, the button on the right (which is usually trash) becomes a gem, which is really annoying when I accidentally click on a cow and produce manure and then immediately blow a gem on it by accident. Other than that, I generally have no issues with the game. It's a great game with no ads (except optional ads in bubbles and for energy). I used to hate the energy thing, but now I don't mind it as much, as I play it in between breaks and projects. Great work, but please consider these changes.
