Description of GynZone

Online courses for midwives, midwifery students, OBGYNs and medical students. Built for GynZone Pro members, this app provides the perfect learning tool on the go for all birth professionals. Get access to 1200+ videos, 80+ courses, quizzes and certificates. With GynZone, you will learn how to diagnose, anesthetize and repair obstetric lacerations, from 1st to 4th degree. Our video-based online courses are evidence-based, created by subject matter experts and adhere to international guidelines. We demonstrate medical principles and procedures with animations, medical models and surgery videos with patients. The material ranges from step-by-step animations to complicated and rare clinical cases, catering to all levels of expertise from student to postgraduate training. What you’ll love about GynZone ● Surgery videos - Because real-life lacerations look nothing like in the textbooks! With case-based videos from the delivery room and operating theatre, we demonstrate diagnosis, pain relief, surgical repair and healing of birth lacerations from 1st to 4th-degree ● Animations - Surgical procedures and anatomical principles are demonstrated with animations and medical illustrations, for easy and intuitive understanding ● Simulation training - Patients are for treatment, not for training. We show you how to carry out safe simulation training sessions with medical models in a dry environment. Do try this at home! ● Live webinars - Episiotomy or not during instrumental delivery? Numbers needed to treat and numbers needed to harm? Prevention of perineal injury? Join the Live sessions to earn attendee certificates, or explore the 100+ hours of recorded sessions in the webinar library ● Pick up where you left off - recap anatomic principles on your commute, and switch to desktop or laptop access later ● Save favorite videos (Your colleague will LOVE to see that video of the rectovaginal fascia) ● Personal profile with progress overview for every course ● Quizzes that test your skills and award you certificates ● Content rating on individual videos tells you if they are safe for public viewing or if viewer discretion is recommended Current topics and courses available in the app: ● Perineal repair ○ Anesthetics ○ Diagnostics ○ Repair of labial tears ○ Repair of 1st-degree tears ○ Repair of 2nd-degree tears ○ Repair of mediolateral episiotomies ○ Repair of 3rd-degree tears ○ Repair of 4th-degree tears ● Vaginal Birth ○ Perineal protection: SUCCESS ○ Episiotomy ○ Intstrumental assisted birth (including perineal protection) ● Surgical Skills training ○ Safe Surgery ○ Knots and knot-tying ○ Interrupted stitches ○ Continuous suturing ● Waterbirth ○ Water as pain relief ○ Labour and birth in water ○ Safety ○ Fjordblink Birth Pool ○ Webinars about waterbirth ● Online workshops - Train-along ○ Suturing with interrupted stitches ○ Suturing with continuous stitches ● Webinar recording library ○ OASI sessions ○ Perineal repair and postpartum healing ○ Pain relief for postpartum diagnostics and repair ○ Traning clinical competencies ○ Episiotomy ○ Vaginal birth: preventing injury and complications ○ Waterbirth ○ Birth room design ○ Breech birth, shoulder dystocia and prevention of injuries GynZone - we share women’s care

Reviews of GynZone

  • No audio :(

Love this program but the audio doesn’t work on the app so I always have to go through the website.

    Developer Response

Hi Sharon, thank you for your message and apologies for the late reply🙏. The app is set to respect the sound setting on your phone/iPad, so if your device is muted, the app will be muted too. If this doesn’t solve it for you, please send me an email on apps@gynzone.dk, and I’ll be happy to work with you and get the problem fixed. The very best regards, Katrine from GynZone
  • Best Suturing App

Presented in a very user-friendly format, this app provides clear, safe instruction on diagnosing and suturing various lacerations through the use of animation, medical models, and real laceration repair techniques. Using a woman-centered approach, other important aspects of repair are addressed, such as non-pharmacological pain relief, delayed repair, and patient communication. Pearls of wisdom are sprinkled throughout, including tips on positioning, dealing with edema, and use of traction. This is a must-have for midwifery and medical students!
