The game is dedicated to running competitions at distances from 50 to 400 meters. The important tasks facing the player in this game are preparing athletes for competitions and creating unique championship regulations, with the help of which the player creates and conducts interesting and stubborn championships. At its core, the game combines an athletics manager and the very process of competition, in which the player is directly involved. To make the competition really interesting, several original concepts were invented, on the basis of which the entire logic of the game was built. The first original concept is the form in which the competition takes place. All competitions take place in the form of battles between athletes. All competitors are divided into pairs. They consistently run the distances established by the regulations of the championship (each athlete has two attempts, of which the best one counts). The athlete with the fastest time at a distance wins at that distance. Battles take place up to two or three victories at distances, as established by the regulations. The second concept is that you have complete control over the entire process of the game. Themselves, when you want and how many you want, you create athletes and create championships in which they participate. Moreover, what is very important, you have every opportunity to create championships the way you want. For example, you can create a championship in which the first stage of the championship will be a playoff system, and the final stage is a round robin tournament, in which the winners of the previous stage go. It is possible, and vice versa, first the round robin stage, then the playoffs or just the playoffs, or just the round robin tournament. Also, you yourself determine the number of participants in the championship. You determine the championship rating (from the city championship to the Olympic Games), determine the requirements for athletes, for example, athletes whose age does not exceed (or not lower) the level you set (as an option, juniors). There may be requirements for the rating of athletes, their experience of participating in championships, and so on. It is even possible to establish requirements for an additional contribution of money from athletes to the championship fund so that the winners receive large fees. Plus, you yourself set the distances at which athletes compete and so on. All this is done very simply with the help of the regulations of the championships, which, once prescribed, you can further apply to similar championships in different countries or cities. The third concept is the use of money. Its main point is that only strong athletes earn good money. Weak athletes cannot earn because they perform poorly in competitions and no one wants to invest in them. Thus, they are logically excluded from the game due to the fact that they have to pay for training and participation in championships, but they have no money. The next concept takes into account in several ways how interesting the championship battles are. This is reflected in the number of spectators who watch the championship and, ultimately, whether the championship will be profitable for its participants or not. For example, battles are interesting in which the results of the athletes are close, and they go on very stubbornly and until the last it is not clear who will win in the end. The athletes themselves, their charisma and attractiveness are also important. There are a number of other points that keep the audience interested in the battle. An important concept is also that the athlete, through more training, can outperform the stronger but lazy athletes. And one more of the main ideas of the game is the possibility of your athletes participating in competitions on other devices where this game is installed. Reviews of runPress. Athletics manager

Unfinished at best

It took me about 30 seconds to get my first crash, trying to select a training program for a runner. The interface is terrible, with text boxes covering up other text and as someone who has written for apple and knows how they used to check things, I don’t know how this made it onto the apple platform. The game appears to create nothing. It seems that you have to create the world, create the countries, create the cities, create the tournaments, and create and train the runners.

I’ve seen lots of pc games that should have been on mobile but this is the first mobile game I’ve seen that should have been on pc. Even if this worked absolutely no mobile game player is going to spend literal hours watching a tutorial video, creating an entire world from scratch, then working with an interface like this.

It’s not about players not wanting to read, dev. Do you see any other mobile games set up like this one?

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback! The crash may not have been related to the operation of the application, as this version is very stable. As for the interface of the game, everything is the same, as was reported in the information part of the application. It doesn't seem to be very user friendly. Everyone is used to the fact that the game itself leads you to the desired goal and you don’t have to think at all - just press the suggested buttons and that’s it. Here you have all the possibilities of the game right in front of you and you decide where to start. In fact, there is absolutely nothing complicated in this game, and if you don’t want to study videos and instructions, just be patient and attentive, and soon everything will be clear to you. Who does not want to do this, simply can not play the game. There are many applications, mostly non-games, that take much longer to learn how to work. There is nothing unusual about this. This game is not difficult, it just has a lot of features and options for the game, which at the very beginning create the appearance of complexity. And in fact, all this requires only some practice.
