Should be great, but…

Since switching to a different tracker, the app picks and chooses which runs to display and reward me for. It also doesn’t match up with my actual step count so I’m constantly missing out on points and challenges. I have asked my institution for support for it seems to be an issue above their remit and no further support seems to be available. It’s a shame because when it worked, it was great however now I don’t think there’s any point in me using it.

Not working properly

I am not sure what has happened to the app, but it is not working properly anymore. It is connected to my Garmin and used to record fairly accurate my activities, but since the last update it barely records anything anymore. It records my swim, but does not like the steps. I do about 200 steps and some days none, even though I am doing thousands of them daily. It was fun to use and be able to redeem rewards for your activities, but now it has become pretty much pointless. No useful rewards anymore and not recording activities properly.

Moves is now useless

It has stopped recording steps and I found this is common on other people devices that use the app. it will only pull through one activity per day regardless if you go running swimming or cycling. There has been an update, but this hasn’t fixed anything It has imade it worse. it is becoming the opposite of motivational because there’s no point in taking part in leaderboard because your points don’t reflect the effort that you’re putting in.

Misses 50% of my activity

I have Moves+ connected to my Garmin. All it has to do is transfer the data across and it still misses half of my activity. You do not know frustration until you go all out on a 100km bike ride only for Moves to say it never happened.

Stop Adjusting the Challenges

Offer challenges and then either cancel them or reduce the completion time to unreasonably low amounts.

Works fine & very Motivating

I don’t know why there are so many negative reviews on this app. Every time I go to the app and update the homepage, it syncs my runs/walks from Apple Health just fine. It’s brilliant that you can win prizes through this app. All you have to do is go back to the app every few days, let your steps sync, watch your points increase, and redeem them for prizes! It’s a great idea and it really encourages me to exercise more.

Really motivating

I really like this app. It has really motivated me to walk more using the challenges.
Just wondering, why do the challenges not appear on the first day of the month? This is my only gripe, that I am having to play catch up once I join the challenge

The admins will choose what date to publish a challenge when created, which means it isn’t always the first of the month and can sometimes be halfway through a month etc. Thanks, The OpenPlay Team

It’s changed

Something updated over Xmas/new year and now the app barely pulls half the steps walked through from Fitbit. Even after disconnecting and reconnecting. It’s a shame as I would have given 5 stars before.
Happy to amend this if it starts working again but I’m not really bothering with it now

Buggy and inaccurate

Stop picking up any amount of cycling, despite doing 20miles a day for the last week. Have disconnected from Apple Health and reconnected, even removed and installed the app again. It's very buggy.

Now has stopped detecting swimming. Also surprising for a fitness app doesn't do anything for a gym workout.

Password reset does not work

I’ve tried multiple times to reset my password for Moves +. It says password reset request sent but I never receive anything to reset my password. I’ve tried on wifi at work and at home and I’ve tried using just mobile data. I’ve checked my junk mail, nothing. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and re requested a password reset, nothing. I’ve contacted my university, they said they have contacted you to help with reset, still nothing. So unfortunately I’m no longer able to use the app.
