Perfect !

This app is great, just how it is on the Samsung phone. I have always preferred the Galaxy buds, but also prefer the iPhone. When I saw this release and how it works with the new Buds plus I passed my buds down the family and purchased the buds plus, which by the way are a big improvement over the old buds, battery and sound alike. I have no idea why people are giving this a bad review, I can only assume it’s because they have the old buds. It’s great to see Samsung have made the App 100% compatible with iPhone even down to allowing ambient noise in if required

Great purchase !

I bought the Samsung Galaxy Bud+ and it works perfectly ! Sometimes the left bud doesn’t connect right away but it’s an easy fix.

NO Sense

How do you make an app that is not compatible to its original product version!! When will this app be compatible or when will there be an app that is compatible? I was sooo excited when I purchased the original galaxy buds from Samsung since I had done all my research and compared them to a few others including Apple AirPods, and Samsung ultimately won for its look and comfort for me and also it stated on the website that they were compatible to iOS came to find out they are not!!! I called Samsung to complain but of course nothing could be done I accepted the fact that I can only use my buds as Bluetooth with my iPhone 11 max pro but was told to periodically check for an app in the App Store since it might become available soon. Today I was told by a colleague that a new version of the galaxy buds was available with the app for iPhones I was excited when I heard the news that I quickly downloaded the app thinking that of course it’s compatible to the original buds how could they not right.... Not reading the fine print “not compatible with SM-R170” VERY DISAPPOINTED! NOT HAPPY AT ALL!! Not sure if I will be buying Samsung products anymore since it’s very hard to have them pair or be compatible with other devices. Please make it compatible. It’s ridiculous it’s not!

Dear user, we apologize for any confusion; this application has been developed for Galaxy Buds+. Your Galaxy Buds from last year will not be supported due to compatibility limitations. Let us explain: Buds+ has been built with a new chip which enhances connectivity and provides better memory. Due to the implementation of the new chip, Galaxy Buds+ are compatible with iOS devices. Sadly, this compatibility limitation cannot be addressed with a software update. We're really sorry for the inconvenience it may cause and we really appreciate your understanding.

App is useless

The app doesn’t work at all if you buds are connected to the phone. What’s the point? If you connect to the app, the sound doesn’t play via the buds, only through the phone. If you connect them via Bluetooth, you can hear through the buds but it won’t connect to the app. Samsung fix this!!!

Update 1: Not sure how to respond directly to your comment but I’ll edit my review to include that info. I have the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ in light blue and my phone is iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 13.3.1. Everything is up to date.

Update 2: did you read my review at all? Of course I know it has to be connected to bluetooth to work. THATS THE PROBLEM! It won’t play music or anything else if it’s connected via the app. If you connect via the Bluetooth settings in the iPhone settings, it works fine but then the app can’t connect to the buds. Stop being purposefully obtuse. Read the other reviews. There are tons of other people with the exact same problem. I upgraded to the buds+ solely for the the app. Fix it so I don’t have to return them as defective.

Hi there, we're sorry about the misunderstanding. App Store wasn't releasing any new reviews before March 17th so we didn't get your "Update 1" review. "If you connect via the Bluetooth settings in the iPhone settings, it works fine but then the app can’t connect to the buds." - This is highly unusual, a frequently occuring misstep is that users typically don't connect the Buds+ with the iPhone's Bluetooth first, they connect directly with the app. Our primary answer was modified to rectify that commonly occuring mistake. You have provided us with your iPhone and Buds+ model. We'll have the development team look into the issue, until then, please bear with us. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and misunderstanding.

No consistency

This app has changed to a point that I don’t even know if its the right thing any more. I received the Galaxy Gear IconX as a gift a couple of years ago and this app can’t find them. The buds work over Bluetooth just fine but I can’t make any changes to their settings. Even the PC app is very limited in what it can manage. I’m sure these would work fine from a Samsung device but things like this reflect poorly and definitely do not encourage me to buy their other products.

Update regarding developer response....

Thanks for your quick response however that really does nothing to help me out. When searching your website the IconX page says to search the App Store for IconX and the only two apps from Samsung are this one and Wear App that’s only for the watches. So, again, no consistency here because from what you’ve just said there isn’t an app on the App Store for the IconX when your website clearly instructs to search for it.

Works well

It works really well, basically the same as the samsung app just like one or two features not available on iphone

We have reasons to hate Samsung

I bought the Buds+ because it compatible with iPhone and this app. When I checked with the description it say Compatibility Requires IOS 10.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. But it doesn’t mention iPhone has to 7 or later. So my 6s plus not work with this. Samsung is really bad and no more Samsung again.

Hi there, we are sorry for the inconvenience. The minimum requirement for a Galaxy Buds+ to work in iOS is satisfied by iPhone 7 and later models with iOS 10 and later versions. The Galaxy Buds+ is not compatible with iPhone's older models. Also, please note that this application is for Galaxy Buds+ and will not support the previous model due to hardware limitations, thank you.

Everything works as it should

People, who rate this app as useless, simply cannot pair buds plus properly. Buds must be disconnected from the device previously used, before pairing with an iPad or iPhone. App works perfectly well, and I'm using my buds plus with my iPad pro during long journeys and all the features work same as when using buds with my Note 10 plus. If you want to switch to use them on other device, simply place them in your ears, open Wearable app and it will connect automatically. I tried this method many times. Trust me, it will work. iOS Buds+ app is very optimized. Thankyou developers.

Does NOT work with current Samsung Buds! [Update]

Current app doesn’t work with the original Samsung Galaxy Buds on iPhone. There is no CLEAR indication of this so be careful purchasing the original buds if you don’t want the additional capabilities that you can get with the app.

Now for the update, I ended up purchasing the galaxy plus buds. They do work with the app on the iPhone. The app allows you to signal in on specific sounds within your music; so you can boost base or treble, etc. The voice through function is super helpful. Rating a 4 because I wish there was a way to boost overall sound, as sometimes the buds’ sound can seem low, depending on what I’m listening to.

Doesn’t work on iPhone

I have an iPhone 6S plus. iOS 13.3.1. App Store states that my device is compatible. But app does not work. Error message states “can’t open this app. Not compatible with your device”.

Galaxy Buds + hardware works great and excellent product. Why is the app available on App Store if it doesn’t work? How did this get past QA? Please have an update available soon.
