I don’t know if they have fixed a bug since the previous reviews but so far I think this app is amazing. Deletes all my downloaded apps for a period of time of my choosing then reinstalls them as if they hadn’t gone anywhere allowing me to focus and use my time more deliberately.caldep92
Help!
I love this app but I think there is a serious bug. Last night I turned it on for half an hour. After 3 hours it still didn’t reload my apps. I kinda liked the quiet but it’s 9am I just woke up and my apps still aren’t back! It’s been over 12 hours and I need them back for work! Developers please help. This app could be great - but
Update: deleted the app for awhile and now it will not work at all.
Some of my apps are for work, so when I’m locking my phone so I can focus on work, I can’t do certain parts of my job. This makes the app useless. I also don’t like that my apps are dumped back into my phone out of order, but I could live with this if I were able to choose which apps to lock. It would also be nice to set locks according to a schedule rather than relying on willpower to lock the app each time.Show lessWhateverBella
App stopped working with no support option
I love this app, but one time I used it and it continued to keep my device on lock after the focus time of one hour expired. I removed the permissions for the app to manage my phone, and it went back to normal. However, now, even after reinstalling the app and the permissions, it doesn’t work. I have uninstalled and reinstalled three times.
This is really annoying because I purchased a year long subscription to the app, and if I can’t use it, I’m wasting money. It simply doesn’t work, telling me to check for the profile in my settings and whether it’s verified. The profile is verified, and I have a WiFi signal. IT STILL DOESNT WORK THOUGH!Show lessavery8888888

When I was prompted that all my apps will be rearrange into alphabetical order, I didn’t mind so much. Until I did a trial and I was like “oh wow.” I didn’t realize that I personalized my phone so much.
But that didn’t annoy me and I was warned about it.
What I didn’t see or read was that all of my apps setting would be changed back to default. So all my notification settings, signing back in to apps, so forth.
That was way beyond annoying.
However for the one minute I did a trial run, I immediately did something productive.
The app works but is it worth losing all your settings? That’s up to you.
I was of the belief, eh it’s settings, how bad could it be? But then I saw and realized that the app isn’t for me. I’m going to spend a ton of time just getting my phone back to where it was.
It’s a great idea! But the technology isn’t there yet to make this a truly effective and efficient app for a consumer yet.Show lessJv333
Shocking app
I used to have the other Flipd App when it had a full lock, which was really useful and worked well. I’ve just downloaded the new App, locked my phone for half an hour 3 hours ago and still have no sign of my apps. I have no way of redownloading them as this has blocked the feature of being able to redownload them. I now have a completely useless phone and am absolutely disappointedShow lessellahatt123
its good but..
this app is totally USEFUL for school works and studies, BUT i cant edit those apps dat shouldnt be removed/hidden. since i only used my phone for studies i still have apps to use for studying too. too bad this game didnt have an edit mode when you can pick what app to hide or what not. i uninstall this app because i cant use it for studies. even though im looking forward for improvement to this app. i can still see potential to this i just wish they fix this problem. if they do ill definitely use this app and even share it with my friends 😊Show lessangeliccute
Good For Specific Use
I was going to originally mention my folders not returning to the same spot, as well as the inability to select certain apps as “safe” apps i can use during the lock but, having looked at developer feedback I now see these are iOS issues the dev cannot get around, so these things have no impact on my review.
These things aside I highly recommend this app, it works very well and does what it advertises: hides all “extra” apps from your device for the selected period of time so you can focus. It keeps essential apps such as phone and settings in case of emergencies as well as the apple music app for music while you work if you so desire it.
I’ve been looking for a good lockdown app for awhile that I cannot back out of or sneak around to still use my device (as I’m want to do instead of studying) and this is the best so far. I’ll be recommending it to my friends to help them focus too.Show lessWrobl1bn
Dont Bother
They had it. They had the best lock out app with flipd and then Apple came in and told them to change it due to permission issues. So what do they do? Make us wait for months and charge too much money for a feature that used to be free because they got greedy. Congratulations, you’re apps are now garbage. OH! They also respond with an automated generic response, like “Sorry for the inconvenience, we know it can be frustrating. Apple made us change our features blah blah blah, but we’re committed to trying to give a better experience and appreciate the feedback! Blah blah blah” Yeah right. Useless app
I purchased the app and after a few days it went for a consecutive 3 days lock over the weekend. Then I email the company that my phone is lock from 3 days please unlock it for me. They asked me to delete the MDM in your settings and reinstall the app again. Now I know how to remove the unlock every time I need to use the phone. Not an app to force unlock and not an app for productivity.Show lessweb_01
