  • Exactly what I needed

I’m a touring musician and, for making quick and dirty chord charts on the road, I’ve always use a sheet music template within ForScore and annotated on top of that. It gets the job done but never looks very good.
I typically just travel with my iPad these days, which is great but Notation is the one thing I truly need my laptop for. This eliminates 40% of my laptop notation needs. If I need to, I can still use ForScore and hand write notation in my chord chart but this will still look SO much cleaner.
I’m a bassist, so I write a ton of chord charts with specific lines notated here and there for one section or another but, most of my charts are chord charts with forms and a sample bass line notated.
This is PERFECT. Incredibly intuitive, handle codas, endings, rhythm markers, etc…. Nailed it guys!

    Thanks a lot EEssix!
  • You CANNOT write a lead sheet with this app

Despite what it says in the title, this app does not allow you to create a lead sheet. A lead sheet has chords & melody, and this will only allow chords and rhythm notation, not melody lines, even though there is a staff. Might be useful if you’re strumming an acoustic guitar but not really for anyone else. And I don’t know many folkie singer songwriters that are out here strumming maj7#11 chords…

  • So cute but a few little things

This is GREAT, I wish is also included a few other things like audio playback, ability to display key signature and also an ability to easily write in melody+ lyrics easily! Glad to have this
  • Great!!

This app is so handy. I use it all the time to quickly create charts for compositions, and for songs my band is learning. It’s really simple to use and one can get out a chart in a matter of minutes. I export it to forScore, add any additional touch ups, and email out the pdf. Easy peasy. Thank you, Mr. Bernier

  • Fantastic app!

This is an awesome app. I’ve been dreaming of something like this! Much quicker than inputting changes in Band in a Box or irealpro. Incredibly intuitive! Still waiting on a major update.
  • Easy to use but…

Easy to use, good interface but we can’t select chords like A#m, just A# or Am. It’s important because we can know how improvise when we see the chord. Can you add something to fix that?, thanks.

Hello Karinaquin, thanks for leaving a review! To combine sharp or flat with a minor chord, simply drag your finger in the corner of the chord button (where both symbol sections overlap), like displayed here : https://www.chordsheet-maker.com (You’ll have to scroll a bit, under « Quick chord entry »). Don’t hesitate to use the contact form if you have any questions, I usually reply within a day or two :) Dave B.
  • Works

    Great for quick chord charts
  • Chord Sheet Maker

It’s very easy to use and allows me to input more than 4 chords a measure. It also allows all the extensions(#9) etc. It doesn’t have a copy and paste feature.. which would give it five stars But I must admit… Its easier to use than Notion, and allows me to quickly create charts on my IPad… there are not a lot of videos on youtube just a 39sec demo… but definitely worth the $6 Note : no audio or note entry.. just charts.. time value etc But with the time is saves me.. it’s a excellent first dive… I can’t wait to see the upgrades

(Copy and Paste is now in Beta testing Mode, so I will try the Beta…and if it’s good , I will definitely change my rating to 5**)

Thanks a lot for this review! Copy and Paste is currently in the making, so a next version will include it. You might want to try the beta version, accessible from the Information panel. That’s where it will be released first. Thanks again and have a good one, Dave B
