Chord Sheet Maker

It’s very easy to use and allows me to input more than 4 chords a measure. It also allows all the extensions(#9) etc. It doesn’t have a copy and paste feature.. which would give it five stars But I must admit… Its easier to use than Notion, and allows me to quickly create charts on my IPad… there are not a lot of videos on youtube just a 39sec demo… but definitely worth the $6 Note : no audio or note entry.. just charts.. time value etc But with the time is saves me.. it’s a excellent first dive… I can’t wait to see the upgrades

(Copy and Paste is now in Beta testing Mode, so I will try the Beta…and if it’s good , I will definitely change my rating to 5**)

Response from developer

Thanks a lot for this review! Copy and Paste is currently in the making, so a next version will include it. You might want to try the beta version, accessible from the Information panel. That’s where it will be released first. Thanks again and have a good one, Dave B

Excellent! So easy to use.

This app is fantastic. It seems that every other app just shows chords above lyrics, but I wanted something with a little more musical notation, while still being simple and easy to use. This app is perfect for me.

I’ve looked at the roadmap and I’m excited for the release of the ability to copy/paste, add text, repeat rhythms, redo/undo.

Hi, thank you very much for taking the time to write this comment! Some of these features are already being tested out, so you should see them appearing soon 😉

Needs an update

I like the program but I think it needs a update to include things like a repeat sign. Emailed the developer and he did respond but have seen one to date.

Hi MrG1, thanks for the review. I did hit some delays in development, but it will indeed be present in the new version (with the new core) at the chords level first, then at the rhythm level. If you wish, send me another email and I’ll add you to the beta version next week (once back from vacations) Dave

Very good

This app does exactly what it advertised. Its is a very easy and covinient way to make chord sheets. The only thing missing is a copy paste option.

Fantastic start

Simple and quick. A few additions would make this app 5 star. The most important one: copy & paste.

Great but…

This is an excellent App. I would save so much time if there was a copy/paste feature. It is also difficult to add rhythms on the first beat. This May not be an issue on larger iPad screens.

Response from developer

Hi! Thanks for the comment! The copy paste function is planned in a future release. It will indeed save a lot of time. As for the rhythm entry on the first beat, can you reach out directly to me with details about your device? You can do so through the app or the website. Have a good day! Dave

Allow to edit or add letters

I really love using the app to go paperless using my ipad tablet. I suggest they need to add the option to add comments or letters where you put the chords. Other than that I recommend it to everyone one.

Shortsheet lead sheet maker

Just got this. It is simple, straightforward and it works. You can add rhythmic notation if you want to! And it transposes. Worth every cent. Nice work

Fantastic app!

This is an awesome app. I’ve been dreaming of something like this! Much quicker than inputting changes in Band in a Box or irealpro. Incredibly intuitive!

the Little App That Could

background: I’m a serious jazz and downtempo musician and composer. This little app takes all the yuk outa creating lead sheets. It may not do the job for serious Score aficionados, but it's gorgeously simple and covers all the basics. It lacks audio playback, but if you’re needing a qwik and ez lead sheet printout, this'll do it. Very intuitive and user friendly. And great tech support!
