Subscription required now?
1. Start app and wait for it to find my location.
2. After a couple minutes, the app throws a “something went wrong” error.
3. Dismiss error and it finds my location.
4. Ready to run! I press “Start”
5. A full screen ad appears asking me to subscribe. I can either subscribe or dismiss the ad.
6. Dismiss the ad. I’m at the map with my location but it is not tracking my run.
Before, I was at least able to get extremely basic functionality for free, which I was more than happy with. I’m even fine looking at an ad. But they have everything locked down and behind a pay wall is a nonstarter for me. Especially since the subscription is on the pricey side.
Regarding the errors, I have done the basic troubleshooting steps of deleting and reinstalling the app, making sure iOS is up-to-date, and restarting my phone.
