Description of MiSpeedo

Introducing MiSpeedo: Your User-Friendly Driving Companion MiSpeedo is an intuitive app developed by SET2PASS Driving School, designed to keep you informed about your speed in various units while you drive. But it doesn't stop there! This handy tool goes the extra mile by offering essential details about the direction you're heading, known as 'course,' and diligently tracking the total distance you cover on your journey. With MiSpeedo, you'll always stay on track with accurate address information, regularly updated every 10 seconds. Plus, you have the freedom to customize the app's display color theme to your liking, ensuring a personalized and enjoyable experience. One of the standout features of MiSpeedo is its calibration capability. You can fine-tune the GPS speed displayed by the app to match your vehicle's speedometer. This adjustment is useful because many vehicle speedometers show a slightly faster speed than your actual travel speed. With MiSpeedo's calibration, you'll have the confidence of knowing your displayed speed aligns with your vehicle's performance. Whether you're on a road trip or just commuting, MiSpeedo is the reliable driving companion that keeps you informed, safe, and in control throughout your journey. Enjoy a smoother, more informed ride with MiSpeedo!

Would be great to be able to calibrate the speed to show the same speed that the vehicle displays. This would negate the need for He Man unit at £80!

    Developer Response

thanks for the feedback. The app displays the speed as reported by the phone's GPS sensor, so it's as accurate as the GPS signal (which will vary depending on time of day, location, weather conditions etc.), and, of course, your actual phone device . The speed displayed by the vehicle is set by manufacturer calibrations - UK legal regulations state that vehicles cannot allow you to go faster than the speedometer is reading. To ensure this regulation is met the UK allows 1-6 mph to be added to a car's displayed speed on its speedometer. Also, care must be taken to ensure that the correct tyre size and inflation are used - both of which will affect displayed speed (which is based on engine speed and/or wheel rotational speed). We'll add a facility for calibration to the car speed.
