Not overly impressed

I was expected to be blown away by a $500 set of earbuds. Unfortunately, I wasn’t. And even trying to do a dictation from the microphone to do this text is a friend because the voice isn’t that great I’ll be sending the earbuds back. They sound like regular earbuds not $500 earbuds. the noise cancellation isn’t the best and also they can stay connected after you put them in the case and close the case. I put them on and they were dead because of it again this is not what I expected from my $500 pair earbuds. I ended up taking back and I got a Bose ultra comfort earbuds instead that sound.

Gemini II sounds but has firmware issues

I had the first version of these earbuds and liked them so much that I then bought the second version. They sound incredible. I hear much more nuance with these earbuds than any other buds or cans I’ve tried. I own a lot of different pairs and I’ve never heard such a well defined sound stage. You will likely need to roll off a decent amount of high end to avoid ear strain even at modest volumes.

There is a problem with the with what I’m guessing is the noise cancellation algorithm in the firmware. Any small click or clinking sound in your environment makes the earbuds fail. This happens in noise cancellation and transparency modes. You have to take them out of your ears and put them back in to reset them. This got worse for me after the latest firmware update. Don’t try to unload the dishwasher while using these because they will stop multiple times! The good news is that this that Devialet could pretty easily fix this with a firmware update.

With that said, these earbuds have an incredible voice isolation algorithm when used for phone calls. I have used them in very loud environments and caller can’t hear a thing. Well done.

More options

An equalizer with more bands.

Could Be better if the app includes sound messages for the earbuds when the battery is low; when using the volume or when the earbuds are connected or not.

Devialet sound is the best I ever had heard, but some options could be improve the user experience; in example; set up customizable frequencies for each ear , because every person is different.

And a great plus is to offer to locate your earphones with the cellphone.

Pas worth it

J’ai payé mes écouteurs 650$ pour une application moyenne avec quatre option de customization, vous ne pouvez pas vous connecter à l’application avec un seule écouteur, l’arrêt intelligent marche à moitié et les écouteurs on difficulté a ce sincronisez, acheter ses écouteur à 180$ pour le même résultat

Great app, but my Gemini2 has no way to adjust the maximum volume, hopefully this feature can be added to prevent accidentally cranking up the volume too much, I can only keep it at one or two fps with my current use, should be a better experience if updated with more volume options.
