New *You can now send messages in Chat using Siri. Just say “Send a message in Edify” or “Send a message with Edify”. When Siri asks “To who?” state the name of the user you want to send a message to. Siri will transcribe the message and ask if you want to send it. You can send the message by responding “yes” or you can manually click Send on the messaging modal that appears.

New *You can now change your password on Edify mobile. *We’ve added a retry feature for messages that fail to send. Improvements *Increased reliability for starting Sync sessions. *Increased reliability when sending long messages. *Improved channel selection experience on iPad. *Improved markdown display in Chat. Bug fixes *This update includes minor bug fixes and usability improvements. Apple watch New *We just released the Edify App for Apple Watch. You can now send and receive messages, get notifications, and send reactions without ever touching your phone.

*New: Mentions *You can now use the @ sign to Mention a specific user or every member of a conversation in a channel or direct message. A mention alerts the message recipient regardless of their notification settings. *New: Notification settings *The new notifications setting for channels and direct messages are All or Mentions. All sends notifications and unread counts when anyone posts in a chat or direct message. Mentions only sends notifications and unread counts when you or the entire channel is mentioned. *New: Quickly view specific emoji reactions *Long press an existing emoji reaction, to open the tab of details screen that displays which users reacted with that particular emoji. *New: Unpin *We’ve added an unpin feature for the pinned messages screen. Navigate to Channel Settings > Pinned Messages, then long press a pinned message and select Remove Pin. *Improvement: Markdown formatting *Improved handling of incomplete markdown formatting, headers, highlights, underlines, checkmarks, and block quotes. *Improvement: Unread count *The unread count updates more reliably when a user views unread messages in a channel or direct message. *Bug fixes *This update includes minor bug fixes and usability improvements.

*New: Pinned messages *You can now pin messages in Edify mobile. Pinning a message saves it in the channel header for all members to see, so the message doesn’t get lost in conversation. *New: Channel header display *The channel header now displays the channel type, user status (for direct messages to one user), and user count (for direct messages with more than two users). *Improvement: Enhanced GIF selection *To maximize screen real estate, the Giphy pop-up now overlays the keyboard area when selecting a gif to send. *Improvement: Unread message button * Tapping the unread button takes you to the location of the unread message in the channel list, even if the section containing the unread message is collapsed. *Improvement: *When an image is enlarged in its own container, an ellipses (...) will be added to indicate that the entire channel name is not being displayed, if the name of a channel is too long to be displayed in the container. *Bug fixes *This update includes minor bug fixes and usability improvements

*New: Emoji reactions *You can now add emoji reactions to messages in Edify Mobile *For messages that have no reactions, long press the message to bring up emoji quick reactions. Tap + to pick other reactions. *Tap an existing reaction to react in the same way as other users. *Long press an existing emoji reaction to see who reacted with which reactions. *New: Saved Messages *You can now save messages in Chat. Saving a message changes the background color and puts a border around the message to make it easier to find. Saved messages are listed in their own Saved Messages channel that you can open from the channel list by tapping the Saved Messages header in the channel list. *Saved messages are private. They are only available to you, so other users can’t view your saved messages. *To save a message, long press a message then tap ‘Save’. *To unsave a message, long press a message then tap ‘Remove Saved’. *Tap ‘Saved Messages’ to open the channel that contains all saved messages. Tap one of the saved messages to go directly to that saved message in the chat feed. *Improvements: Chat *When using the iOS ‘Share’ feature, if Edify is chosen, we now display the user’s Favorite Channels in the selection. *Muting a channel in Edify App will cause the font color to change in Edify App Mobile to indicate that the channel is muted. *We’ve redesigned the long press menu on messages to accommodate emoji reactions and saved messages. *We’ve improved the display of markdown formatting in channels or DMs in Chat. *We’ve improved the display of URLs in channels and DMs and made them easier to press.
