  • Super motivating and fun

Like a lot of people, I got a Concept 2 rower during the pandemic. I tried a few other apps but enjoy this one the best. The music and instructors are fun. I like how the app connects directly to the rower so you can compete with others during class, even if you’re doing a pre-recorded one.
  • Finally found a workout I look forward to

This takes the boredom out of rowing for me. I love the music and coaches with different styles. Time flies by. I also love the on demand feature with countless class options. I would definitely recommend anyone to give this a try.
  • Huge fan!

I’m so happy I found this app - its exactly what I wanted with my rower! All of the instructors are motivating and fun, and they have the best playlists. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a Pelo experience on your C2!
  • Best rowing app out there!

As a crossfitter who’s trying to add in more rowing for endurances, club row is the best app out there. The coaches are amazing, the classes are great, and they really push you.

Some of the things I LOVE about CR are:
-you can do live or on demand classes
    - if this end up doing an on demand, there is a leaderboard you can still “compete” with or you can hide if you’re not competitive, with anyone else who’s taken the classes
-you can take live or on demand classes with friends! I’ve taken classes with friends who live in different time zones and it’s amazing
-coaches really push you to do your best while also reminding you on form and making sure you’re rowing properly

If you’re debating on trying this out, do it!!! It’s WORTH the membership fee after the two week trial
  • Nope.

I don’t mind the music, but really bad instruction. Yelling “in and back” throughout a workout isn’t helpful rowing coaching. Entire 2 minute pieces at half-stroke? Why? I stopped some workouts part way in because of my irritation. If you have ever rowed on water, skip this app.
  • The best part of 2020

A business trip to Vancouver allowed me to take a class a Club Row, and I loved it. Even though I didn’t know when I would make it back there, I started following them on Instagram. Fast forward a couple years later, we’re all stuck at home, and I see Club Row on IG talking about this app. So I buy a rower (the first one I could find for delivery which was a WaterRower), and download the beta version of the app. I’ve been hooked ever since!

The instructors are all great and all different so there’s someone suited for everyone and for whatever mood you’re in that day. I’m not even sure I could pick a favorite at this point because everyone adds something different. Tommy and Cass are the entertainers, Nate is the more laid-back style coach, and Dom is in the boat with you - rowing along the entire time motivating you. Whether you like the true spin class style row or a more technical or continuous row there will be a class for you.

All that being said, the thing that will keep me with Club Row by far is the community. In addition to the great classes, I feel like I’m making friends in some way with the coaches and with the other people who are a part of the app. The only downside of this app for me is because without the Concept2 my score on the leaderboard is always stuck at zero. It would be awesome if one day other bluetooth rowers were able to hook in but I’m also considering once the backlog of orders subsides switching out my WaterRower for the Concept2 so that I can connect fully to the Club Row experience.
  • Cancel

Please advise where in the app I can cancel the trial period subscription? I signed up today for trial period and previewed the classes. I decided after previewing the classes, this teaching style is not for me. In order to sign-up, I had to provide my CC number through Apple. I cannot find the cancel trial period / subscription link.

    Please advise.
  • Join the crew!

Club Row is a fun, fast paced, erg workout to upbeat music with positive coaching. It’s super easy to connect with your Concept2, and compete on the leaderboard. Join live classes with encouraging shout-outs from the instructors. And the ever growing library of recorded classes means you can workout on your own schedule (bonus: your meters still connect to the leaderboard, so you’ll compete with the original class). If you’re coming from a traditional crew background, be ready to learn the CR method - rowing to the beat. It’s a lot faster stroke rates, but a fun challenge to rack up the meters!
  • Great app - motivating and fun

I’m really enjoying the app - it’s really motivating! It has been great to participate in a group class at home during this pandemic when I can’t get to the gym. I have a WaterRower so of course I’d love if it could be compatible with that but I understand if that’s not possible. You might want to consider providing some HIIT type classes - perhaps integrating some weight training and mat work into some classes. That would complement the rowing quite well. Also maybe some other types of music? Maybe 80s or 90s theme, indie rock, classic rock, other genres perhaps?
  • Love rowing to the beat.

What a great concept. Instructors are so motivating helping me exceed my goals each time.
